殘體字的確是去漢化的產物，大部份正體字的部份都用「又」和「x」來頂替，看起來不單醜更失去了真正漢字所擁有的意義。

現在中國大陸全力推動京劇，專家們已感到拼音的缺點及不合理。京劇中唸唱主幹的上口字如”日”應唸作 ”ㄖㄧˋ”，而不是 ”ㄖˋ”。 拼音用”ri”來表示”日”的發音(”ㄖˋ”)，對上口字音(”ㄖㄧˋ”)則完全不知所措了。
拿石頭砸自己腳的拼(湊)音也該丟了。

中文不是拼音語言(spelling language)。 中文字的發音是整合的(integrated)而不是連續的(sequential)。 拼音又想是音標又想是文字。 結果什麼都不是。孰不知沒有任何語言的文字和音標是一樣的。 音標只是學習和辨認發音的工具。 沒有任何音標系統會對完全相同的音(phoneme)因和它結合的音之有無或不同而改換符號的。 這種情況只有在拼音語言的文字(spelling)裡才有。 中文的正確音標系統只有一個。 那就是注音符號ㄅㄆㄇㄈ。 拼音只是想以英文字母代替ㄅㄆㄇㄈ，结果卻成了不是音標也不是文字的怪物。

所有文字的書寫形式都有簡化(偷懶 sloppy)的情況。 以英文來說，應包含字母的寫法及字的拼法(spelling)。 字母寫不好的英美人仕是多數，但從沒有人要把二十六個字母給改了。 在拼法方面也沒人主張把字母多拼法難的字給簡化了。 你把 enough 寫成 inuf，to, too, 和two都改為to只會讓人說是程度低劣不懂拼字(spelling)。 以我們中國人的話說就是寫白字。 用簡體字就是寫白字。

為何正體字由東漢確立沿用千年為何沒進行更進一步的簡化 就是因為正體字在其文化上與實用上相平衡的原因 有文化又具有實用性的文字非正體字莫屬 決非簡體字這種只是貪徒簡便的字可相比擬
