Tressel was smart to keep Pryor in. We were getting relentless pressure without blitzing. Our front 4 was in your backfield the whole game. Boeckman wouldve gotten destroyed back there. Nobody blew anything. The better team won. PSU didnt make the mistakes, played awesome defense, and did just enough on offense to win. Clark was pulled because he suffered a concussion, rather than Joe wanting to make a change. When was the last time Paterno pulled a QB with more seniority? Shouldve last season.
OSU coach blew it. He stayed with struggling QB too long ignoring his pocket passer. Meanwhile, JoPa pulled a fast one making the right chamge. Tressel is no genius, he just got lucky in '02. Now they get to play in a Loser Bowl.
Pryor wasnt even struggling. He kept a couple drives going by converting some 3rd downs by buying time to pass with his feet that Boeckeman wouldntve. Besides, he didnt make any bonehead plays until the fumble. He was under a ton of pressure from our defense the whole game. Not too many QBs wouldve done a lot in that situation. I wouldnt hold the pick against him so much as he was out of timeouts and there was only a half a minute left. The outcome wouldnt be any different with the other QB IMO.
You don't understand the mentality of a superstar highschool QB. Pryor thinks he can leap tall buildings. If he could just fall forward, it was first down and OSU wins. P St. got lucky and they will not be Nat. Champs. Tex, Tex Tech and Fla are better.
LMAO @ TT and Texas being better. The Big XII doesnt play defense. Tech wont make it past Ok St, OU, and their conference title game assuming they even get there. Our most likely opponent if we win out is FLA or 'Bama. I say bring on whoever. Paterno's bowl record is the best of all and if given a month to prepare, we have just as good a chance to win it as any. Whats funny is nobody had us picked to finish in the top 3 in our conference. Its ok, just more fuel for the boys in blue and white.
Ever since P'U joined the conf it's been The Ohio State University plus The Lil Ten. P'U was beat at the Horseshoe and they know it. That's why they just got jumped over. Laugh now while you can cause they won't be Nat Champs.
Who's laughing? I'm not. Ohio State played a tough game and layed it all out there on the line. Dont put words in my mouth. But since you want to go down the "we wont be Nat Champs" road...well, as a Buckeye fan, do you really have any room to talk? Dont even bother to answer. Your team's play in the last two title games says it all. Let us have our chance if we get there before you write us off. Man, I knew some people would take that loss hard, but damn such sour grapes.
Your team was beat, our TF gave it away and everybody knows it. This means that P State can go undefeated and still not be NC. It wouldn't be the first time.
What I find funny is that now we finally hear the OSU faithful throw him under the bus. I didnt hear anybody complaining about him while they were undefeated with him as the starter and after their 45-7 win over MSU. For the last time, if anyone lost that game for OSU, it was the offensive line. They didnt block anyone the whole game.
Yeah, we lost really big when we crushed you 63-14 in 1994. That's the last time Penn State had a team this good. And Penn State and Ohio State are always back and forth. I have a feeling that you started watching football in 2006. Congratulations on your two-game winning streak over Penn State, but it's about to be snapped.
