David, thanks for posting. I was expecting an M39, rather than a 91/30...maybe I remember your comment wrong. Anyway, nice Mosin. And according to my son that speaks German, it sounds like "poison", but with a "m". You had some good advice about the loading and ensuring that the rim of the round above is in front, but you didn't finish the thought. Happy New year...
@Spacecoastz I started refinishing the stock on my M38. But it's all in pieces. That lacquer just doesn't like to come off! But the 91/30 is ready to shoot in more ways than one.
@sgtmarkins Thanks. I don't think you can do much better for the money than a 91/30 or it's carbine cousins. I know some people don't care for the recoil, but it doesn't bother me. You get less felt recoil from the full length rifle anyway.
