Yes, Gore only went for the counties where he thought he had the best shot. He should have gone for a state wide recount in hopes of getting back some of the over 80,000 probable Democratic voters that Harris had purged from the voting records. Good old fashioned GOP politics there: if you can't win, cheat. And Blackweill was just as bad in Ohio. So far in Minn., it's only Coleman getting fined and punished by the judges. He's the only one demanding a new election. Coleman is a cheating scum.

Same thing as election 2000. Sad as it may be, Franken wanted to recount until He was ahead, and then declare victory. Gore tried to do the same thing, agree with the Electoral College or not. It's a shame, but it always seems like one party is more honest than the other. I think it might be because Republicans are more generally Christian, which believe in telling the truth, and being fair. Which, why you see Churches volunteering their time to help people. Franken needs to allow ALL votes in.

Mr. Honesty then agreed to follow the findings of the Commission until he lost, then he started using every legal challenge he could think of. Now that it looks like that won't work, Mr. Honesty wants Minnesota to throw out the results and hold a new election. Don't try & make it like Franken is in the wrong after all Coleman has done

Franken may not be a perfect candidate, but he is no way as bad as Coleman. Coleman's legal team has so far been found to have doctored evidence, failed to share evidence with Franken's lawyers, and tried to coach a witness' testimony outside the courtroom while the judge held a recess to decide if the witness should testify. All of this and he is still trying to weasel his way to DC. Even if Franken is as bad as the GOP claims, he is still the lesser of 2 evils.

From the sounds of this discussion, the count and recount had a fair amount of questionable practices. Certainly the judiciary in the state of MN thinks so. There is going to be a standard set of rules for counting enacted now. This way, the actual correct totals will be determined. Justice is going to provide the healing you seek.

No, the recount was managed properly. The 5-member judicial panel was composed of 2 Republicans appointed by the Rep. Governor, two independents from the days of Jesse Ventura, and one Democrat. Coleman agreed to honor their findings, as did Franken. Now that he lost, he is using every legal challenge he can to drag this out. The Court is allowing him to do so instead of forcing him to do as he agreed to. This is from the man who asked Franken to do the honorable thing and step down on 11/5/08.

The recount was set into motion because Minnesota State Law demands one if the margin of victory is under a certain percentage. If Franken and Coleman had been in comas on Nov. 4th, the recount still would have been mandated by law. Every step of the process has been overseen by the Commission in charge (which politically would seem to favor Coleman). It is Coleman's team that has been issuing challenge after challenge once he started losing. It has been Coleman's team that has hid emails, ...
