  • Love the acceleration over Dandry Mire section wonderful sound

  • Yes indeed, and we don't seem to always get such displays of power these days

  • good video thank you this is a good brilliant

  • Thanks very much, I think I may redo this one at some point in widescreen and try to improve the quality

  • £100,000 and an overhaul then we'll see 46203 running again

  • That would be nice especially as 6201 is nearing the end of her certificate in a year or two.

  • Great to see Stanietrs loco's doing what they were built for pulling heavy trains

  • It sure is, a great sight and sound.

  • Awesome set of clips, hopefully 46203 will be with us once 6233 is in for overhaul, even better if a big tin of green paint finds its way in to the princess trusts workshops.

  • Cheers, wouldn't it be great to see her in green, heres hoping!!

  • Seen a lot,but got to say one of the best, superb engines, beautiful scenery, great locations.Love steam engines and countryside, and this has the best of both

  • Thanks again Vic, I love putting these old clips together and see them in a new light. It's great that others enjoy them too.

  • Great collection Austin. Happy memories.

  • Thank you, they were good days indeed.

  • Thanks Bob, they were indeed halycon days

  • Another excellent video, I'm affraid that the 90's seem to be the last of the great years of main line steam..you just don't get images like this any more..well deserved 5*

  • Excellent collection. 46203 and 46229 are 2 locomotives i'd love to see running again.

  • Thanks David, I wonder if we may see 46203 when 6233's cert.expires. 46229 was a particular favourite, first loco I travelled behind over the S & C in 1981

  • Wow! The first shot of Duchess of Hamilton really is something. I really miss stuff like this.

  • Thanks, glad to bring back some memories for you. She was a great engine on the S & C.

  • Another cracking collection of videos. I do love the way you include the countryside - and what beautiful countryside. Lovely locos, doing as their designer intended, in lovely settings. Thanks - Chris

  • Thanks Chris, I do like to include the countryside when possible. I'm amazed, when looking at these shots again, at all the sunny days on the S&C. As you will know it has its own climate up there, all seasons in one day being the norm!! Austin
