  • HAPPY 43RD BIRTHDAY, ONE LIFE TO LIVE!

  • This opening did not wear well: it seems dated musically, too cluttered and busy visually--a disappointing successor to the Urbont classic.

  • @en9nui - "This opening did not wear well," yet it is by far OLTL's most recognized and celebrated opening to this day. Maybe what you're saying is that it didn't well wear on your own taste-buds.

  • @WhenenRome Actually the current Lee Holdridge score and its variations have had a considerably longer run and thus may be more widely recognized.

  • @en9nui Well. Maybe... except I do not watch soaps anymore (20+ yrs) so I have not even heard the current score. I do like the older one. It was full of spirit. But maybe there is something to be said for the current score.

  • whatttttt?? i remember this and im only 29 yrs old.. i also remeber it having words to it.. anywhoo.. My Momma still watches this today... shes a walking book.. when it comes to One Life to Live!

  • @Ziola28 The opening debuted in 1984, but the lyrics weren't added until 1986.

  • Thank you for posting this carmaker1, I hope you post more including the episodes from the 1980's with Tina, Maria, Megan, Spring Skye, The Eterna Story, The Double Wedding, The scenes with Tina and Maria, Especially The ones with Viki's High School Reunion, Viki and Roger and the full ending credits to these openings with the theme. I used to think the one who played Cors sung this.
