Energy prices need to be raised. Carbon's release into the atmosphere is a cost that the world community will soon, in a mere 100 years or less, be paying in lives. Better to factor it in now and push the development of alternative fuels. This will wean us off of oil and reduce our geopolitical dependency on unattainable stability in the region, and will weaken petrodictatorships around the world. It's a win-win.

Man causes global warming through his industrial process and has been building toward global warming for nearly two centuries.
The UN did not lie. One of the dozens of organizations that provided it data had a scandal of political jackassery among some of its scientists. This does not question the results of the study.
This last decade was the warmest on record, and the trend shows no signs of slowing. CO2 emissions are merely one of the factors driving this shift, but an important one.

Energy prices need to be raised. Carbon's release into the atmosphere is a cost that the world community will soon, in a mere 100 years or less, be paying in lives. Better to factor it in now and push the development of alternative fuels. This will wean us off of oil and reduce our geopolitical dependency on unattainable stability in the region, and will weaken petrodictatorships around the world. It's a win-win.
