  • BEST FIGHT SCENE EVER.

  • Wasn't this one of the few anime movies to be released in American theatres?

The only ones I can recall are:

    Yugioh the Movie

The Secret World of Arriety (The Borrowers)

    any others?????

  • Damn fine quality you got here.

  • 3:28 - Tatsumaki Senpuukyakuu!

  • Oh GOD!!!!!TT___TT Can anyone help me??? when Spike see the butterflies there'is a song! I don't know the name!!!ç______ç please help me!!!!!!!!!

  • @MaggyNC Cowboy Bebop OST 4 - Powder

  • Why is it that their voices sound as if they where recorded by the same voice actor?

  • I can't watch Cowboy Bebop in Japanese. I'm sorry. It's one of those rare occurrences of the dub being better, or at least better suited to the feel of the show, than the original. I'm bracing myself for thumbs downs, so please make it quick and be gentle.

  • @Bandaids4ever The same goes for me with Samurai Champloo and Blue Submarine no. 6

  • @Bandaids4ever You got to be kidding, ain't you?

  • @cover1991 Nope. I'm 100 % serious. I prefer the English dub. I can think of a few shows that I liked the English dub as much as the original Japanese, like Full Metal Alchemist and Death Note, but there are one or two animes that I honestly feel the English dub exceeds the original. Cowboy Bebop is one of them. I don't care that the creators intended it one way, the English dub is fantastic, and there's no denying that.

  • @Bandaids4ever Well, it is. As though I'm not native speaker (It can be seen), and usually I'm familiar with english this time I found it especially fake and plastic, that is often case in animes.

  • @cover1991 Well you're just attacking the language now. If you think the Japanese actors did a better job, that's one thing, but to say that Japanese is a better language? Come on. I love English. It's my native tongue. It's a Germanic language, so it doesn't flow like water, but it has it's own unique history and it's no better, or worse, than any other language. I really don't think the actors sounded unnatural in the English dub, so I don't know where you're coming from with that.

  • @cover1991/continued Steven Blum plays Spike in the English version, and to be quite frank, I think he's one of the most talented voice actors alive today. In any language. Hell, the creators of the show liked the English dub enough to put cartoon versions of all the American actors in the opening scene of the movie... I disagree with you on this, and I don't foresee that changing, but I'm not gonna stoop so low as to say you aren't human.

  • @Bandaids4ever "unique own history", that was good. Keep going, I mean by that praising this mix. of classic english, celtic langauge (Angles and Britains), Sax langauge and France. It's unique by that, but in bad meaning.

  • @cover1991 ... I'm sorry. I didn't understand a word of that. I know you said English isn't your first language, so I'm not picking on you, or anything, but I really couldn't make head or tales of that last reply. Something about the history of the English language? Your words are all jumbled together. It's hard to read. Anyway, I'm done talking about Cowboy Bebop, soooo... Agree to disagree?

  • @Bandaids4ever Well, I guess you should have associated it, unless you don't know story of your own language and besides that you've been talking about it. That is bad habbit, don't you think? "mix. of classic english, celtic langauge (Angles and Britains), Sax langauge and France." What is incomprehensible in that sequence? You know what "mix" mean, and next I've enumerated elements of this blend. But, accord to what I said already, if you were knew history of your own language..

  • @cover1991 That was also very hard to read... It's not a matter of not knowing the history of my language. I got that part. I understand the words, but they are not put together properly. It's the context. I can't understand the context when your entire paragraph is jumbled and full of grammatical errors. You leave out certain words, and use other words out of context. It gives me a headache. You are not fluent in English, and should refrain from speaking it until you are.

  • Comment removed

  • @Bandaids4ever But, no offence, it is considered that Americans are not smart in general.

  • @Bandaids4ever Japanesse language is so fluid and smooth, English is not. By the way Spike has amazing voice, much better than that low something in English dub. Seriously, I cannot understand you, I'm even not sure if you are human.

  • From 1:45 Spike kicked Vincent 6 times O_O Tell me that's not the coolest thing you ever saw...

  • i think spike fights from his dick. well from the earth. but whatever. wwoooooOoooop

  • 1:42 - 1:51

    feels like Hwoarang :D

    but spike kick his ass

  • @Mazeforeveryone lol that was the first time i watch on netflix... to bad it gone now

  • Vincent almost looks like he could be related to spike.

  • 1:38

now i know what to do if someone kicks me while i'm down .

  • I've been practicing Jeet Kune Do for about 2 and a half years.

And i can say that the movements displayed here are very acurate... And, most of them, a bit hard to pull with acuracy and expertice.

All i can say, is that SHinichiro watanabe is a genious.

  • @BluelightSpike How do you like it? Do you feel like it could definitely be applicable in a real fight? I'd be real interested in learning JKD.

  • @Ninety9Soulz

It's hard, it's all about speed, not strenght.

It's a beautiful discipline once you get to know the Phyosophy behind it.

It's applicable in a real fight since it's all about Close Quarter Combat and Counter Locks.

After a while, your body reacts on it's own, you start to calculate hit trajectories and foot placement almost without noticing it.

    It affects your whole life!

  • @Ninety9Soulz Any martial art are goog personaly i do kick boxing, with boxing cardio training i love our coach he push us to our limit all the time you just need to love what you do, you will find a serenity with the finest of you're move..or maybe it's just me all i know is that i give my 100% until my face turn red and that my face is dropping of swet, then i continue!

  • @Ninety9Soulz You can push yourself like you want in this discipline it's all about you you're inner strenght to push you're limit

  • dat triple kick

  • 2.04 Even Spike needs a breather now and then.

  • I wish they made a Batman series like this. Just saying.

  • @jd1060 They are yet to make a series but they have made some batman movies similar to the epicness of this fight.

  • @mannymatrixofwar2 I call bs on that one, they have yet to make anything to come anywhere near the tactics and skill of this fight, these are actual fighting abilities too, not over-exaggerated or anything, batman is all heavy handed and none of his villeins are this epic in a hand to hand match without drugs

  • @William13Ai18 Watch Batman Gotham Night. They also came out with a new batman movie that looks promising. Batman Year One. I havent seen it yet but it looks really gritty.

  • @William13Ai18 Richard Dragon, Deathstroke, Catwoman, Lady Shiva, Bronze Tiger and many more.

  • say your prayers...spike

  • thumbs up for Spike to say well done

  • JKD vs Kickboxing .This anime fight scene is realistic . I love it !!!!!XD

  • @Peace0981 I don't think Vincent is kickboxing. Whatever it is, it looks cool.

  • @EGRJ Just look at 1:01 his fighting style is like kickboxing.

  • @Peace0981 Actually, it reminds me more of the martial arts I learnt, Muay Thai, although using the western guard pose variant rather than the one used in the traditional sports stance. Still, it's vastly better than mine XP, even if i'm grade 6 i'm nowhere near that frickin fast or fluent.

  • @EGRJ I'm pretty sure it's Wing Chun, a style of Kung Fu. Jackie Chan uses Wing Chun a lot.

  • @AfrojacX Its actually Jeet Keen Do

  • @Monkey3430 I thought only Spike was using Jeet Kune Do?

  • @AfrojacX Oh yeah. I think its Wing Chun to. I thought you were talking about Spike. Sorry!

  • @Monkey3430 It's cool.

  • After watching this I must learn JKD

  • crap what are they saying?!?

  • Hey look. It's the fight Naruto borrowed.

  • love that kick 1:29 to 1:49

  • I think Cowboy Bebop is better in English, I know a lot of people say that, but really I do love the English cast for this show.

  • @CornishCreamtea07 yeah dude. they really did a fantastic job dubbing the anime ^^

  • @CornishCreamtea07

    I agree

  • Bob Dylan vs. Jim Morrison deathmatch...

  • Btw, what's Vincent using? Wing Chun?

  • @AfrojacX I think it's Wing Chun. It looks very like it.

  • @StefanOrelj Sweet. I'm trying to learn Wing Chun to balance out the combination of Karate, Boxing and the self-taught style I invented.

  • @AfrojacX WOW! :D Great :) I'm training Real Aikido (aikido suitable for real life situations - not the REAL aikido). It's a self-defence martial art, and I try to combine it with wing chun :D

  • @StefanOrelj Nice! Yeah, I've never been able to try Aikido (there are no Aikido schools around here), but I'd really like to try it, sometime. What's it like?

  • @StefanOrelj

There is no such thing as "Real AIkido" you either do Aikido or you don't. you either do it well, or you need more practice. And if you are doing AIkido, its very aplicable to real-life situations, it was made based off of jujustsu - the martial art that the samurai used in warfare It's just as effective as other arts I'm saying thsi as both a shodan, (Aikido black belt) and I've trained in various othe rmartial arts as well. Oh, and Vincent uses a Wing Chun/Yong Chun style.

  • @StefanOrelj

The Wing Chun/Yong Chun (Cincent uses a hybrid of the two) emphasize very close techniques, and grapples. THat's why spike (who uses Jeet Kun Do) gets his butt kicked whenever he gets close to VIncent and in turn kicks VIncent's butt when he is a little further away. Jeet Kun Do is a bit like fencing in that stance and distance are more central to techniques - spike uses a more distanced style of Jeet Kun Do.

  • @ThePianoMan173 You know your stuff.

  • Chuck Norris ain't got SHIT on that kick at the end.

  • One of the best hand-to-hand fight scenes I've ever seen in an anime!

  • 3:28

  • DAT KICK

  • outlaw star and cowboy bebop are both exceptionally great anime shows but you haven'tt earned the publicity like dragon ball z, naruto, inyuyasha or bleach. Personally, I think it would be entertaining if they would have developed a film for outlaw star such as they did with cowboy bebop here that took place after the galatic leyline and serve as sort of a sequel to the actual series. I know they had planned to make another series to it called ' sword of wind' but it ended up scraped.

  • THIS is Jeet Kune Do

  • 1:42, daaamn.

  • i hate how this guy stole the real vincent's name, lol. but he's cool.

  • Spike has the best sidekick out of any anime characters.

  • @DemonKingMMA

Cause he got it from Bruce Lee

  • @RPD1175 Waaaaataaaaaah!

  • Thinking Spike Spiegel is sexy doesn't make you gay. It just makes you more straight.

  • @thetuckman1 Thanks, Ive been told I look just like him many many times

  • I guess Cowboy bebop

*puts on sunglasses* ended with a bang.

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • Vincent is one of my favorite evildoers ever.

  • whats the song called

  • @jesuslicious17 Pushing the Sky

  • Iconic

  • man those kicks >.<

everybody here should take lessons to do those.

  • 2:54 best "fuck you" ever

  • spike FTW!!

  • decided to say fuck it im not gonna smoke....

  • so. much. saliva :o

  • what's the title of this song?

  • @Johannady

    "Pushing the sky "

    watch?v=LiUjOFYDiBE

  • @nikki4099 thanks :D

  • Spike Spiegel is the best reason to pick up smoking :D

  • This WHOLE vid just reminds so much of the Xiao Xiao series. :P

  • Spike Spiegel puts Karate Kid to shame

  • spike is so hot

  • song is pushing the sky by the seatbelts

  • One of the better anime fighst that dont involve any "Chakra" "Chi" or any other Magical abilities. Very realistic and intence.

  • @Chrisfragger1 amen.

  • @Chrisfragger1 how is it realistic they are cartoons!?!?!?

  • @Rambostylin You sir are a a troll... It's Realistic because 2 Human Beings in a real world situation givin enough training and time could have this same fight.

  • @Chrisfragger1 agreed....these fights like that get boring way too fast. but these fights in cowboy bebop..man...so real and epic, man

  • @Chrisfragger1 Intense.

  • What is the song I can't find it. D:

  • I have this movie in HD Blu-ray, and I'm LOVING IT!!

This has to be one of the best animated anime fight scenes I've ever seen!

I just freaking love this show, even if its this old <33

  • at least this anime is more human...if you get what im talking about!

  • @SilverGalford right, im not into all these super power anime, i'd understand supernatural, but i like animes that do things that stays in the relm of possiblity:-D

  • Every time I watch Cowboy Bebop I want to kick some ass.

  • YESSSS its not edited with crappy music

  • Spike should be a character in street fighter XD 1:40

  • Spike got his ass kicked in this fight, and he did a great deal of kicking too! THIS was great! I love watchin' him fight, so fluid, so smooth! 1:42 = Foot meet face! ~LOL~

  • @SirMac27 well id say the only reason he lost at the end was due to the nano-virus weapon in the air at that moment.

  • Nice

  • "Hmm I love the kind of woman that can kick my ass."

  • name of the song?

  • 9 people got there fatasses kicked by spike

  • Vicious would beat the brakes off Vincent!! Vicious was just so dam pimp.

  • how about this? Vincent vs Vicious. I think Vincent would slaughter Vicious...

  • That last kick should have ended the Dudes life.. DAMNNNN

  • God..there aren't many animes that have fluid fight scenes like this...Only ones that come off top of head are samurai champloo, sword of teh strangers, soul eater, FMA brohood and afro samurai...Even the new boondocks season has fluid animation.

  • @Soriphen All anime fight scenes should be fluid. It's the new millennium, that should get with it but now a days it's all about powers and justu

  • This is Teh shet

  • THIS IS SO BAD ASS OMG

  • 1:43 KICK HIS ASS

  • Spike got way more hits in, yet Vincent's terrible strength just wrecks him by the end of the fight.

  • this is the best anime fight ever!

  • Comment removed

  • it's very rare to see such fluid animation these days especially with fight scenes. I try to look for anime of this level but most of my friends seem to think people screaming for 5 minutes before they land every punch is on par with this. Great movie great series. does anyone know of an anime of this calibur that doesn't have a schoolboy or girl with power/greatness thrust upon them. i'd be most grateful!

  • @arthisuther

An *anime* of this calibur? Depends on what you want. What aspect of Cowboy Bebop did you like the most? There's plenty of great anime out there, not all of them are SUPA ACTION POWA-y. But if you're getting tired of anime, there's tons of manga this caliber and beyond, but you won't get to see stylish action scenes like this.

  • @Demonicpoodle

i've watched loads of anime maybe i've reached my limit, lol. i've watched all the episodes of samurai champloo ghost in a shell i mean those are the only two at the top of my head i can think of with fluid animation and great fight scenes, i would say darker than black but it falls a bit short sometimes.

  • @arthisuther FMA:Brotherhood? Sword of the Stranger? And Seirei no Moribito? those have fluid animation Fight Scenes.. xD

  • @johnuuu

sword of the stranger was awesome storyline was a bit non existant but it still managed to pull a few of my heart strings, i haven't heard of the other two, i should watch them i hope they don't have any school kids in them. Sword of the strangers what i'm talking it feels so immediate.

  • Comment removed

  • @arthisuther FMA: Brotherhood and Seirei no Moribito Doesnt have School kids. Kara no Kyoukai too! They're definitely safe and doesnt have mystical Cosplay girls with amazing powers that can blow off an entire universe. xD

  • @johnuuu

i'm on it buddy i'll give my thoughts on it when i've seen some eps

  • @arthisuther yeah! however, just be patient on Moribito, it's kinda slow since it's more on Character Development, the fight scenes are far between eps,.. xD

  • Sorry what aspect of bebop did i like most? The animation/gunplay/fightscenes/some of the storylines not all,the movie is great though. What i like is that there's always an element of danger the scene's are done so well it's very rare to feel a lead character is in danger (ghost in a shell is excellent at that) whether it's anime or not. Also a nice array of characters and how most of them are different shades of moral grey

  • Yoko Kanno & The Seatbelts - "Pushing The Sky"

  • This makes me want to get in my Spike Coat, go to a random bar and pick a fight.

  • Incredible fight scene. Hope the movie lives up to the anime.

  • what of the most practical anime fights ive scene that arent flashy and crappy

  • God I love the part starting at 1:42 - what a kick scene!!!

  • damn spike has some fury in those legs!!! 1:40

  • I want to have this fight in real life. Anybody wanna join me? ;)

  • @MonkeyJoe92 oh yeahh! im so in!!

  • best fight scenes ever, with pretty badass music as well.

  • one of the most greatest fights of all anime history!

none stopping punching and kicking ! yeah!

  • One of the fighting styles Spike is using is Bruce Lee. I can't remember the other one.

  • @HalaHadean23 it´s called jet kun do if i´m not wrong ...

  • @HalaHadean23 jeet kune do.

  • the song at the beginning kinda sounds like the beginning of the song 'Leave you Far behind' by Lunatic Calm.

  • @lilmurfer i know right!? it called "pusing the sky" though

  • 1:40, Spike shows some Tekken skills. He obviously uses Hwoarang.

  • love it! its more real than a live-action fight scene ^_^

  • bad ass music means for bad ass fighting with two incredibly bad ass character's, only and only with cowboy bebop can you say bad ass that many times and still not sound like a dick.

  • spike is a mofo

  • And it actually looks like Kung Fu. Amazing. For the time it came out, this looked better than live action movies. :P

  • I like how these fights are even more realistic than most Jackie Chan movie fights.

  • this fight it's truly amazing, every time I see this I get the feeling to start a fight

  • I could watch these two fight forever

  • all the top anime fight lists on youtube that don't include this piss me off, which is pretty much all of them. Dragon ball z? really?

  • @CrimsonEmpire Ha ha! I totally agree. DBZ fights look like shit compared to this.

  • @Glitcher2000

Well com'on at least the 1st 3 movies had some badass hand to hand fighting. i think all other moives turn to ki blasting BS. Or get ass beat by super big guy give goku "the power" and end!

  • My favorite fight ever

  • This is the best anime ever. I love this so much. This is the best anime for fighting and it has a great story, Its so perfect!

  • Wow i would love to see how they create these fight scene!!

  • Spike dishes out incredible moves, but you have to give some credit to Vincent. He takes all of Spikes hits like their nothing! :O

  • throughout the whole fight spike falls like 5 times and vincent only 1 time

  • @brainspillerzzz Yep. Spike was not 100% and still was able to match him.
