Example: Currently we have the 110th Congress assembled. Alot of the Bills this guy posts in these videos are for the 109th Congress. What you are then proposing is that Obama is raising taxes on those Americans who pay 53% of the nations total tax revenue, and that with this he is going to add another trillion dollars of government spending. It DID pass the Senate in the original form.
The FINAL bill (the one showed in the video) was passed by 90 percent of the Senate.. including both Democrats and Republicans.
John McCain WAS NOT THERE.. to assume he would have voted no is misleading. The video is misleading.

oN MAY 6, 1999 THE sENATE VOTED 54 TO 44 PASSING THE BILL ALONG PARTY LINES.The The House voted on July 30 and passed a house version 241 to 132;along party lines.
The bills went to conference to work out opposition.. November 4 the final bill was passed 90 to 8 and 362 to 57. Lots of democrats voted for it. Clinton wanted it.

The Medicare payouts to providers are not negotiable and are very low compared to private insurance payouts. The doctors simply can't afford Medicare patients only. Reason? High overhead. Reason? Malpractice costs. Get rid of excessive lawsuits, down go the costs to us. The point is, still... throwing more of our money at (eventually) the lawyers isn't going to help anyone. Besides, I don't believe we can actually afford that anymore... time will tell.

The final bill in on the Conference Report. That is what became law.

1-yes mccain did vote to deregulate. biden voted no. take a look at the second link when you google "senate bill s.900"
2-the bill was dismissed under a (R) controlled senate
3-read the amendment. it replaced K with 6. that was passed. Take a look at the second link when you google "SB99 Illinois" and then click on the "Senate Amendment 001" link.

That is a totally stupid inference since the US peak oil occured in the 70's. No amount of domestic drilling thereafter could provide enough...NONE. Pre-1950s the US was EXPORTING oil. By 1970's the US could only serve 50% of need. Today 25%. No way to change the supply shortfall other than reduce demand, import foreign oil, or go alt.energy.

If you really did you're research, you would know that Obama's promise to lower or not raise taxes for 95% of Americans is an outright lie. There were several significant tax cuts that went into effect when Bush came into office that are scheduled to expire soon. Obama will not renew these tax cuts. Therefore, your taxes will go up under Obama. And BTW, Obama is for abortion. Less killings is not good enough. There needs to be no killings.

You need to try to get just a tiny amount of facts in your views. Obama is perfectly aware of the Bush tax cuts and their expiration. Obama will not renew the tax cuts on the top 5%. That's what he MEANS. He is going FURTHER than the Bush tax cuts for the lower 95%. He IS going to cut taxes on the middle class. What you're saying is just wrong. Obama will not renew the tax cuts on the richest. He will FURTHER DECREASE taxes on everyone else, beyond what Bush did.

The 95% is a lie. Only about 50% pay federal income tax. His plan also does nothing for self employed middle class people. Nothing. You have to get a paycheck from someone other than yourself to qualify.
Besides, he will never pass it anyway. We are still waiting for the one he promised while running for Senate. He lies with a smile.

Oh, you're right, I misspoke slightly. The point is 95% of people will not have INCREASES. It is a smaller percentage who will receive further reductions. Nothing wrong with that--we're talking about people making just under $250,000 a year, I think they can afford their taxes where they are.

Bill Clinton promised a middle class tax cut. It never happened.
Dems promise tax cuts. They never deliver. Republicans do. The rich pay a higher % of all taxes today than under Clinton and under Carter.
Those are facts. High tax rates to not mean higher tax revenues. The IRS data is the proof. Obama will actually destroy the revenue base with such high taxes on small business, the ones that are growing and make over $250K.

What you are then proposing is that Obama is raising taxes on those Americans who pay 53% of the nations total tax revenue, and that with this he is going to add another trillion dollars of government spending. This "53%" number sounds good if you don't look at it, but it's irrelevant to the conversation. The point is the top 5% or whatever HAVE 53% of the money--don't tax them because they have so much?!
What's a better plan, to give ANOTHER $300 BILLION in tax cuts to the top 1%?! That's McCain's alternative.
As for "adding" $1 trillion: we've spent $700 BILLION ON IRAQ, while Bush gave away $1.6 trillion in tax breaks, HALF of it to the top few percent. . . .

It's already to the point that if you make below a certain amount each year and you file your income tax, it comes out that the government owes you more than you paid... Common myth: increased spending helps the economy. Absolutely false. Go try it. Spend a whole lot of money at Walmart and see if you come home wealthier. An example of something that has helped is the computer; it improves efficiency in a lot of areas. Next up is energy.
BTW, totally agree that Iraq spending is out of control.

Whoa! My point with the 53% number is that these people control a huge part of the economy: 53% of it. But yet, you seem to think that this helps the economy? Answer me this, does wealth redistribution help the economy? Does it increase efficiency? Does it make things cheaper? What does it do? Sure it may temporarily increase spending but that doesn't help the economy. I seriously want to know how wealth redistribution helps.

Wealth redistribution doesn't just help, it is vital to the economy. (Well, "wealth redistribution" is a misnomer. The issue is wealth distribution--redistribution is how to fix the problems with wealth disparity. Redistribution is what our tax system does now: it funnels money upward.)
Anyway, it is vital. People living paycheck to paycheck spend _all_ their money. Rich people spend whatever they feel like. The power of every day people has always been the strength of America.
