  • bucket t sounds like "boquete" in brazilian portuguese, wich means 'blowjobs', so, extra points.

  • Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend would have been greasers if they were Americans.

  • Should be used in BT commercials, no? \Er, maybe not. Funny song though. I like Boris myself. You know, the Spider. And the waspy one, Sting is it? Ah, sorely missed Mr Moon. And yet, when you gotta go, you gotta go. Now where did I put my drum sticks, hmmm?

  • this is a Jan and dean song. Was also Jan and Arnie's Jenny Lee

  • my boss wouldn't stop singing this song and now i can't stop listening to the damn thing.

  • I love this!

  • great song

  • You know, Keith's not bad at all when he isn't singing in a falsetto.

  • Entwhistle on the horn, Keith singing, No. 1 hit in Sweden.

  • I like the horns in this song

  • thank god keith moon was before the media we have today with all the drugs and bombing toilets he did he would be hated by fox news

  • @shippodna too right! never mess with keith's awesomeness! YOu gotta admit, the toilet thing was really funny! XD

  • i like the fake american accent hahaha

  • is this keith singing?

  • @Substitute421 Yep.

  • Also that Jan and Dean version includes one of those toy cranking music boxes as an effect, just like Ian Dury used on stage for his in between song patters.

  • jan and Dean, Ronnie and the Daytonas, The Who all do this fantastic song well. You can see the studio live version of this song on You Tube.

  • moon was a surf music freak. This is his tribute to the genre. Great stuff

  • @usermac1300 thats fucking great old man

  • @usermac1300 thats fucking great old man

  • Great cover !!!

  • I went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Gatlinberg (sp) last summer and they had one of Keith's shirts on display. I almost pissed my pants I was so excited to see it.

  • Moon's voice isn't all that bad....especially compared to what they call "Singers" now days.....

  • great song

  • Moonie !!!

  • Keef's voice is adorable! It's so different. Ilove Keef and I love his cute voice! R.I.P. Keefy....

  • i love keith XDD <33

  • Sounds more like the Monkees to me, with Davy & Micky both singing the verses in unison.

  • His voice is so cute, I can't stop smiling. XD

  • funny about the moon's vocals getting worse thing. I always laugh on the live at leeds version of a quick one. "We normally feature Keith Moon on vocals, but we'll just have to feature him"

  • Tessália's Song.

  • his voice is so avesome!

  • oh bellboy, the world miss you, there's no better drummer!! its true

  • Original was Ronny & Daytonas in 1964

  • Not quite, the original was Jan & Dean, and was recorded on their Dead Man's Curve/New Girl In School LP from early 1964. The song was basically a rework of "Jenny Lee". No surprise that "The Who" covered it, as Keith Moon was a huge Jan & Dean fan.

  • When I first heard him sing like this I thought "Can't be Keith" because the first time I ever heard him was in Tommy the Movie and he sounds soo different there!

    Great, anyway <3

  • Keith has the most fabulously adorable voice in the world.

  • Nice, but nothing compared to Jan&Dean's original imho

  • bellboy, gotta get runnin now

  • love itt

  • Keith's voice is so cute.

I don't know why people make such a huge deal about it being shit, to be honest.

  • I agree totally with you!

  • Oh thank you! he should have sung more in any case.

  • Absolutely, he didn't have a bad voice.

  • Keith had a good voice at this time, but it seriously got worse with the years (and alcohol).

Or maybe he sang bad on purpose, I don't know.

  • it mustve been on purpose because the parts of Uncle Ernie and Bell Boy are kinda sanical and they're really supposed to sound all messed up.

  • @teganstarr See my comment on Ronny & the Daytonas' version about why their version was a real big deal.

  • I love this song ;)
