Why are American eggs so white in colour? I'm comparing them to British eggs which are robust and browner in colour with a much deeper orange coloured yolk.
@BonhommeHero I'm moronic for asking a simple question? I never seen eggs so white in colour, they look weird. What do you feed them in America? Big Macs and pancakes probably.
I am educated on this topic but I live in a city and I don`t have access to fresh and natural foods... Unless I pay A LOT of money...
My friend lives on a farm, she made me the BEST and I mean THE BEST scrambled eggs I ever had for breakfast! The flavor was much stronger, the eggs were huge, and the chickens were plenty of fun to chase around. I look forward to the small hobby farm I will one day own!
I watched a video from famous chef mario batali and he said he would never use "store bought" eggs b/c in most states they can be sold up to 8 weeks after laying....im trying to start my own chicken farm so i am learning about this but man, that seems pretty rank to me.....yuck!! Fresh eggs only for me please.
ha, i ran into a neighbor the other day that refused to eat my yard eggs...fuckin retards...if they only knew how old the eggs r and how the hens live. educate yourselves people!
The same thing with Pasteurized/ Homogenized store milk. I offer RAW MILK and people are like ewww that has bacteria in it. I say yeah and for thousands of years people drank it.
really? 45 days?!? 0.o geez! and some ppl are opposed to any egg other than from the store cause they think it's FRESH! LOL oh that is rich! wait till I find one of those ppl again and tell them! I LOVE LEARNING!!
Could you please do a video on your pen? It looks very well designed and constructed.

@TheFever77 They bleach them.. LOL. (this is sarcasm.... if you didn't catch that)
You're moronic...... it depends on the chicken and the diet.

Why doesn't it tell what the birds were fed, or how they were kept? I heard that they are feeding these usda chickens ground up cows, etc. YuK.

@1pick2sticks Meat scraps are typically used in "conventional" chicken feed.

@danieller123 My uncle used to come to our farm twice a year for his eggs. Eggs can keep for a long time...

This is a great series. It would be great if you could go through all of the breeds.
