@lmacca98 I like Rodger's version too (don't let's get into a pissing match, k?) but Johnny Cash does give it a touch of.... perhaps thoughtfulness.... Rodgers sings it a touch too cheerfully for a song in which the subject of the song dies. The bleakness is part of what makes the song special: "and the best that you can hope for / is to die in your sleep." True, but who wants to admit it?
