They had one flaw: Their gearboxes had a tendency to overheat during long trips at full speed.

@freddy9867 Not him again! Salty and Rusty are the only two diesels I like in this series. Maybe if Diesel (not Diesel 10) stopped being so arrogant and troublesome, he'd be a bit of a better engine. Remember 7101 in the "Thomas: The Complete Collection" book? He was retained by the Fat Controller to work on his railway, while 699 AKA 'Spamcan' was taken away.
