It's hard to see from the outside, but basically, with this competition, they are trying to make you into what they want you to be. It's very hard to keep trying to meet other people's expectations. It's very alienating and it's not good for your sense of self worth: if you need to change drastically, then the implication is that you're not good enough as you are.

Honestly, I feel Leiden is somewhat like Jane last season as far as the personality and that crap. The main difference is while Jane looked like a fucking ape and could never be a great model, Leiden actually has the features. Anyways, focussing on the actual video, I love Leiden, she's so down-to-earth, hilarious, grounded, genuine, and different from the rest of the girls, it's just a shame that she gave up with the dancing debacle. It's the judges fault. Leiden has said a number of times that she doesn't want to be there, but the judges keep letting her stay and eliminating someone else who really wants it. What's the point? I like Leiden, but I understand why she's acting like this. It's not something she's interested in so she doesn't want to participate... so sue her!
