  • ur cooking unhygine, touching food without gloves. Last week saw on afc cooking with heart programme, disgusting to watch that...yakkkk

  • I like that accent. Perhaps she could start her own asian cooking TV show in Australia. just like the one WOK with Wang in British Colombia, Canada

  • im friends with her niece. she goes to my school, same with nephew :P

  • Guys! Just Enjoy the Show. She is one of the best cheft in Australia, She undertook much of her apprenticeship at Neil Perry's Rockpool and Wokpool and then at Restaurant Manfredi (ref: Wikipedia)

  • Kylie is an excellent chef and I love watching her cook, especially while I'm eating...I hope she'll put her food in a frozen food line one day.

  • Jesus Christ, I hate people who exoticize themselves by bastadization and use the word "culture" to justify their activities. To start, Chinese do not use coriander a lot, only specifically in certain dishes. This is pseudo-Chinese equivalent of "whitetrash" haute cuisine... Ms. Kylie Kwong should be in the U.S.. The U.S. is full of her types and never ceases to get enough.

  • @eseereoj thank goodness for your comment... how can someone be so famous and come out with such rubbish... I think she can't even speak Chinese... if that's the case I can't see her having picked up that much food culture at home.

  • @ brandonying, she is a 5th generation australia, u expect her to have an asian accent?

  • she says too many "fresh" words in the tv programme... get a new word, kylie!

  • i think it's because she was brought up in australia that she has a Caucasian accent. Not because she is a wannabe, it's just the environment she grew up in...probably influenced by the way her australian caucasian friends speak too. So i don't think we should fault her on it. btw i love her recipes. They may not be completely chinese but i think she does fusion cooking very nicely. :)

  • @dreamer19990 WTF is a "Caucasian" accent?

  • @becky2shoes hm. maybe it isn't noticeable to you (like how sometimes I don't notice that I speak with an asian accent) but yeah. xD

  • @dreamer19990 Caucasian is an ethnicity, so it'd have nothing to do with an accent, which is dependent on geography. And consider how many people in the world are considered Caucasian -- it's not like they all have a similar sound to their speech.

    (I'm Chinese American.)

  • I'm french and I was sure it will be hard to understand her, cause she's chinese-australian, so I was sure her english accent will be strong, but it really easy. I'm happy, cause now I gonna watch her broadcast. :)

  • she's brought up in australia. in fact, she's the 4th generation of a chinese familay in australian.

i dont think she's able to speak a word of chinese.

  • I like her cooking .. her style of cooking chinese food is edible to anyone from Far east , Middle east to the west ..

  • she's a chinese caucasian wannabe. she tries too hard and i can't stand her accent. it's soo fake

  • As someone else pointed out, she's a 4th generation Chinese Australian. When she was travelling in China and Hong Kong, she needed someone who could speak Mandarin or Cantonese to interpret for her. That accent is 100% Australian. You can't stand it? Too bad. Open up your mind and learn how to be tolerant. And this is from someone who is Chinese and studying in Australia.

  • @brandonying

    Another ignorant idiotic troll.

  • @brandonying It's not fake. It's an Australian accent. Kylie Kwong is Australian and therefore, unsurprisingly, has an Australian accent.

  • kylie u shud come to india too. to experience new delicious recipies. i adore u a lot

  • she and the minister for climate change Penny Wong would be an ideal couple,

  • they colud zoom in better on the ingredients

  • Kylie you should go to perú and visit Lima City and know about peruvian chinese cuisine.. you will really get amazed..........

  • dude I am Chinese and I can assure you guys she knows jack nothing about chinese food. Her cooking style, the knowledge she revealed in the programs and the dishes she cook. Everything she does shows she knows nothing.

  • I couldn't agree with you more.

Everything from her food to her clothing is SO poser haha

  • Sure, most of the food she usually cooks and presents is Modern Australian with heavy Chinese influences. But I've cooked some of her recipes from the My China book, particularly the authentic ones as they are sourced from locals she interacted with, and it does taste like Chinese food.

  • omg it's obvious that she tries too hard and i'm entitled to my opinion

  • You never heard of an Australian accent? That's how they speak. You should travel more.

  • @brandonying laughs she was born in australia - grew up here all her life.

  • @brandonying

she is not trying anything at all

its the way she speak and the only way she knows

cos she is 4th generation australian, and she cant utter a word of chinese at all

and you being from singapore, i bet you are the one with a funny accent (not that i like to poke at anybody's accent). lah lah lah and more lah lah

  • I want her to be my wife too!

  • shes a lesbian u guys know.....

  • 1) wth doe sthat have to do with anything

    2) so ?

  • i wish she was my wife!!!!

  • yes, she is an absolute delight to watch and the recipes are great!

  • and i love her accent

  • She's a 4th-generation Aussie / Asian.

  • yeah i loved watching her show. the music and then style were great...very calming and it isn't on anymore! wahaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • one of my favorite shows, but don't see it anymore what happened?
