Well, as far as the Rugrats issue goes, I liked the movies and the movie crossover w/ The Wild Thornberries. I wouldn't mind if they ended the series after those three movies, but when Dil came into the series/ new episodes, I pretty much just lost interest in the show at that point.
Apparently on Nick Canada, they show a few of the old cartoons they showed in the 90's during the night , including rocko's modern life. I remember there being a commercial about showing all of the shows you mentioned on January 15, 2010 for all day.

I liked the old episodes of Spongebob, but the show went downhill for me after the movie. The only problem I have with the show itself is how unbelievably overrated it is to this day. Every single time I turn on Nickelodeon, it's ALWAYS either Spongebob or iCarly.
I would wake up early to catch an hour of Ahh Real Monsters, I would not miss an hour of Rocko or other cartoons. I stopped when it all became junk. Seeing Nothing but Junk (Avatar and Danny Phantom are exceptions) really killed me inside

You're absolutely right. Invader ZIM and CatDog are my two favorite shows on this channel. I liked CatDog because of the way it twisted the 'two people, one smart and unlucky, the other stupid and optimistic' formula and gave it a great twist. I also liked Invader ZIM because it was like Stephen King meets Tim Burton and it's still family-friendly. In fact, ZIM is the only Nickelodeon character that's appeared in my fanfics, and he's a major villain. H even teams up Green Goblin.
chalkzone,jimmy neutron, and fairy oddparents were good 00's ones too, since they still had a 90's feel to them because they were made in the early 00's(00-02), avatar and DF were decent, and barnyard too, but the rest is crap. catdog,rocket power, spongebob(pre movie),hey arnold, rugrats, fairy oddparents, chalkzone, and wild thornberrys were and still my favorite nicktoons .
word of advice, try and make your comparisons less subjective and more fair in analysis

And it was NEVER on the guide, FYI. All the 00's shows play on Nicktoons, BUT Chalkzone. It does, however, on Sunday and Monday mornings, 1 episode, 1 30 minute timeslot. I liked the old episodes of Spongebob, but the show went downhill for me after the movie. The only problem I have with the show itself is how unbelievably overrated it is to this day. Every single time I turn on Nickelodeon, it's ALWAYS either Spongebob or iCarly.

You're absolutely right. Invader ZIM and CatDog are my two favorite shows on this channel. I liked CatDog because of the way it twisted the 'two people, one smart and unlucky, the other stupid and optimistic' formula and gave it a great twist. I also liked Invader ZIM because it was like Stephen King meets Tim Burton and it's still family-friendly. In fact, ZIM is the only Nickelodeon character that's appeared in my fanfics, and he's a major villain. H even teams up Green Goblin.

chalkzone,jimmy neutron, and fairy oddparents were good 00's ones too, since they still had a 90's feel to them because they were made in the early 00's(00-02), avatar and DF were decent, and barnyard too, but the rest is crap. catdog,rocket power, spongebob(pre movie),hey arnold, rugrats, fairy oddparents, chalkzone, and wild thornberrys were and still my favorite nicktoons .
word of advice, try and make your comparisons less subjective and more fair in analysis

this video is a bit too biased, and the fact that you dont connect with the other nicktoons makes it even more so, theres more to nick than the original 5. spongebob is actually really good in its pre movie seasons(post movie2005-present=crap), invader zim is hilarious and random, hey arnold was great, rugrats was great all the way through up until they made a series for all grown up(the special was perfect tho, a sound ending to the series

I will respect your opinions here, but the five original Nicktoons were not the only good ones. Kablam!, The Angry Beavers, CatDog and Invader Zim were really good too. The rest of them were garbage (especially Spongebob). I will agree that the EARLY Rugrats were good, but the later stuff was shit.

To all people lambasting coyote for bashing Invader Zim: It's not because Zim and other shows were downright horrible; it's because they were filling multiple time slots and taking away time slots from the classic nicktoons i.e. Rocko and Doug. Before you spew out all these "you effing suck" comments, you have to take time and realize where Coyote is coming from, as his rants are thoughtfully and meticulously put together. Cursing out the guy is just being socially inept.

And I never enjoyed Rocko. But, yeah Nick went down hill. So did CN. It's sad how cartoons are getting more and more for little kids. Even kids don't even like some shows now. I saw "Adventure Time" when my eight year old cousin and he didn't find it..hillarious.

nickelodeon in the 90s and 2000s was aweome! they had like unique stuff that other channels dont! first, they had creativity with being funny and having shows and contests that kids can do on their own! like create their own animation!!! even on the merchendise, they had what they called: nick knowlege: some trivia of your favorite shows! even a magazine! which had upcoming nick events, comics and pranks! now, they got rid of that due to nick logo! ALL THAT STUFF GONE! last had comics n pranks!

Hate to tell ya, kid, but a lot of the shows from the 00's were actually pretty original. First off, Chalkzone's really original? Well, how do I know? I WATCHED IT GROWING UP. And it was NEVER on the guide, FYI. All the 00's shows play on Nicktoons, BUT Chalkzone. It does, however, on Sunday and Monday mornings, 1 episode, 1 30 minute timeslot. Plus stop obsessing over Rocko. It's done, they released the DVD's. And your opinions are extremely biased. :U

Rug rats Turned into Shit when it was digitally redrawnwith bright colors, voice changes on chuckie, angelica going to school, the addition of fee fee keeping spike away from the babies, a worthless baby sitter who doesn't watch them anyway, an old lady making pop happy and not angry at Stu then Kimmi being very annoying.
