Hey man! Awesome project! Really like the fluid motion underneath the table. Would be cooler thou if the moving arms where simultaneously supporting the glass panel
I'm just wondering; How much did you spend on the lasercut parts? Because I was thinking of builing my own lasercut furniture...
@MrBomastiek Thanks! My original concept was to have the arms support the glass, but with an all wooden cam shaft it wasn't feasable to support the weight. I spent about 150 dollars on the wood and used the laser cutter in our shop, so other than material cost it just took a ton of time and trial and error.
i was thinking the exact same thing! would be cool but soo much more work. I think for this design to work better there could be a mechanism that'll allow it to be operated with one's feet. So you can actually sit at the table while having a live demo. Of course the next step would be to install a motor but the 'motorlessness' of it is nicer i think.
Wouldn't it be way cooler if he made a construction where the glass rests on the moving pieces, but in such a way that the glass is perfectly stable. That would require a different design, but it might be more interesting.

Would be cooler if the moving parts actually suspended the glass.
