  • good job, I dont understand but it sure looks awesome

  • What does it do??

  • @SHOOTINGUNIVERSE It does exactly the same thing as your in-real-life computer does. If it was possible to make a screen for it with the same resolution as a real computer, and some more RAM, you can actually make games and stuff!

  • Your voice is very quite, but good job :D

  • I don't even understand half the shit you're talking about O.o

Stop making me feel so stupid XD How did you learn all this? D:

  • i need this in minecraft because....

  • I built a neat-o clock thing today...

  • this giant chunk of wool looks great :D

  • This is awesome and inspirational! I was planning on doing something really similar actually. One idea I have is make it do some kind of calculation like the quadratic formular or maybe something simpler if that's too tough. Also, maybe have it do something like calcualtions then ask for input, wait for input, then keep going. Lastly, maybe have the clock speed dynamic for every possible operation? May help speed it up (all redstone comps are freakishly slow, clock speed is our bottle neck).

  • does this work for 1.1? (most recent as of January 23 2011)

  • See the dislike bar? That's just like lady gagas dick. It's small and shouldn't be there.

Thumbs up for joke that isn't mine :P

  • It would be amazing if that ingame virtual computer was able to process and convey a virtual reality in which you can built yet another computer capable of processing a virtual reality in which you can create another virtual computer capable of... You get the point.

  • Can you make one with 512 bytes of ROM and 64 bytes of RAM? Would be cool :D

  • @monstrum467 he could. If he uses two separate memory addressors then all he needs is an 8-bit address for the ROM and a 6-bit address for the RAM. (if it was all dual read, less if he uses one address per two bytes.

  • can u show us how to build this?

  • Yo Dawg I heard you leik computers so I made a computer on a computer being run on a computer and saved on a computer.

  • Nice how you colored the different parts- makes it easier to understand but also nice to the eye.

Good job, are you Dutch by the way?

  • can you make a improved version with a big display and and a gpu? would be awesome!

  • You should make it do binary

  • well i have now watched this 12 times trying to work out your computer and i think its brilliant and i now make all my redstone machines in a colourful floating skeleton (one becuase its coulercoded and two becuase i compare them to yours and look for improvments that i can take from your machines. sadly i cant relly do anything close to your standard :(

  • Redstone is the RL equivalent of Silicone.

  • Nice I am making one now. . . It will have: a calculator, 5 games, pant, and word processing. I just started with the actual computer. . . the software will be another thing.

  • i'm with the FBI, and i'm sorry sir, but i'm going to have to confiscate your computer. It's just too small and too fast!!

  • Talk louder, please.

  • how many days (real days).

  • Okay, I still have no idea what it does...

  • altair

  • I loaded this up and knew it was going to be impressive...I wasn't expecting the sudden urge to wet myself when the thing came on the screen.

  • subscribe me!

  • nice work... . your Pc is epic^^

where did you get all the information to build it?

  • What does it even do? I 'm not sure I quite understand the purpose.

  • A Minecraft inside a Minecraft?

    I N C E P T I O N

  • @arceusex

noob. that definitely won´t work, cause there is no Computer that could handle something like that.

Stop spamming things like minecraft in minecraft if you don´t know anything. Google virtuell machine and you will understand why it never will work

  • There needs to be a clock multiplier. Then I wont have to wait so damn long...

  • "com·put·er [kuhm-pyoo-ter] Show IPA

    noun

    1. Also called processor. an electronic device designed to accept data, perform prescribed mathematical and logical operations at high speed, and display the results of these operations. Compare analog computer, digital computer."

    dictionary[dot]reference[dot]com/browse/computer (curse YT and links)

Accepts data--check. Does mathematical operations--check. Outputs results--check! Looks like a computer to me! *pinkieshrug.png*

  • Sweet Jesus...

  • Fuck you (jealousy)

  • WTF is this? its just a load of redstone with someone saying "oh hai this is a fucking computer"..

  • @RunescapeCheatTools I can easily say the same about your computer. its just full of fucking wireing. in truth, redstone and digital circuitry are very similar in principle. so yes this is in fact a computer not as complex as ones these days but it is a computer. but some as simple-minded as you probably dosen't understand such concept.

  • @youngjockproductions They are not even similar, the most you can compare it to is a simple circuit with a bulb or in Minecrafts case a piston, door, etc. This is not a computer whatsoever, it has no functions at all, it is just basically a circuit which does nothing.

  • Comment removed

  • What does it do? is it some sort of calculator or something? :S

  • What is this for?

  • so i built a house out of dirt...

  • wtf is this nerd shit?

  • One day, someone will make a compute in Minecraft and play Minecraft on it.

  • which purpose does this have?

  • what the hell is a 16 bit computer!!

  • how much time dit you spend on that thing!?!

  • how you can build over 20 blocks

    please answer fasst

  • @calider1 he dug a hole and built up...

  • SsSsSsSsSs.... BOOM! Your fucked then.

  • I have no were near your lvl of patience and attention XD

  • WHAT TEXTURE PACK?!!!

  • But can play Crysis?

  • @Born2killxx HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • This is the kind if video that makes you wonder why we dont have flying cars yet :)

  • the best thing is, my 16x16 Bit instruction memory is about the size than your whole RAM. xD but holy crap, this is just memory for my instructions :(

nice work. the best thing is the size. i REALLY APPRECIATE that, (:

  • I watched your binary counter tutorial video and thought: "Hm, not hard to understand."

I watched this video and was like: "Ew, I think I'll quit Minecraft."

  • I like. I like. like. Make more videos!

  • Is it wrong that I got aroused by this beautifull piece of redstone?

  • @Mega1mpact Maybe, but you're not the only one :P

  • Will the science of computers keep upgrading in Minecraft like they do in real life?

  • @AllofVideos They are doing just that.

  • The things you can do with minecraft. amazing.

  • /getalive

  • @Maxincredible52 You don't have permissions! =]

  • how do you design these things i mean the whole thing seems to be highly optimized for space and speed? If i build such a computer i think my modules would be far away from each other or wrong rotated so i lose alot of speed for too long wires. Isnt it very difficult to place the modules close to each other without collision or ugly wiring?

  • @ecreif The data path of each bit done vertically and is only 2 blocks wide. It's possible to make the circuits without having to cross wires. Somewhere in the background of the video on wall is a small block diagram of this. Going vertical is the key. Also, in minecraft, if you have to move a redstone signal horizontally, you get vertical movement for free.

  • MORE VIDEOS!

    Please :)

Would you mind going through the steps of learning how you made this in some videos?

    Maybe some links please xD?

  • a monitor next? :D

  • PONG. DO PONG.

  • Inception O_O

  • Specs:

    i7 4.2 GHZ

two 6870 with 1gb of dedicated ram

    8 gigs of ram

  • freaking aewsome.

one thing you could add that only would take a few days, a GPU to display the numbered inputs or letters

  • Yo dawg I heard you like comptuers so I put a computer inside your computer so you can play while you play.

  • Yes, VERY small.

  • Now build a display out of Sticky Pistons. Oh, and a fully-functioning OS.

  • @firemaka if he does this, then publish it to a real-world company, he'd be the next bill gates!

  • so what can u do with this computer?

  • can it run flash?

  • A computer inside a computer? Mineception.

  • @Lemt Noooo a computer inside a computer inside a computer is Mineception (;

  • Could this (theoretically) run something like DOS?

  • @lazysammich I think even very early versions of DOS require about 1000 times more memory than mine. This can be made in minecraft, but I think the computer will be 1000s of times slower than the first computer running DOS 30 years ago (which ran at 4.77-MHz).

DOS is much too modern, sorry ;)

I think it's speed and size could better be compared to computers when they actually were the size of houses.

  • @ohmgane3sha

Wow, that actually puts it into perspective, this is still awesome none the less! :)

  • You should talk to taviRider and teapoted. Between you three we will have minecraft within minecraft!

  • HACK platform?

  • @cxgamer Based on HACK, yes. With a few additions and changes

  • I never get what you get out of those Computers on Minecraft.

  • @Feliy0160 Coz it has no graphics card :(

  • I had to turn up my speakers all the way just to hear you, please set your audio levels better if you're going to present such a magnificent work.

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • You have a very soothing voice. Oh, and very nice design, very compact.

  • MUM! wher did i put my laptop???

  • but where's the fan?!

  • Now launch Minecraft on your Minecraft-Computer.

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock yo dawg i herd u like minecraft so we create computer in your minecraft so you can play minecraft while you play minecraft

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock but it's not connected to internet... make that now, then connect to minecraft

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock minecraft inception

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock Minecraft within Minecraft. Inception?

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock and create a minecraft-computer on your minecraft-computer :D

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock I dont tihnk something with a 32 bytes RAM can run minecraft

  • @TRAMOXTiCLock 1 GB Ram, at least a 640-360P display, and 700 MHz plus the java virtaul machine. then you're ready to go.

  • Ik hoorde hoe je praatte en ik dacht gelijk: wow, vette nederlander. Nice gedaan man :)

  • Send this to Tavi Rider!!!!

  • I don't want to be "that guy" but my 10 cent desk calculator is superior.

  • I often wonder how long it takes you to create something like this :O

  • @Noemro 2 weeks of pretty solid work, but this also included actually learning how to make a CPU. Good time spent in my opinion :)

  • @ohmgane3sha That's quite a bit of effort :) commendable indeed

  • @ohmgane3sha Virus!

  • @ohmgane3sha I love the computer :) I'm pretty dumb though, how do I specify a constant in the assembly? I do @20 \n B=M \n @display \n M=B and it displays a wierd number like 7 but not 20 like i want.

  • @nerfmyaccount Thanks :)

Constants are loaded into register A. So to load a constant into Memory[display] you have to do: @constant \n B=A \n @display \n M=B. The A register is used for the addressing as well as loading constants, so in your code it tried to load the contents of Memory[20] into B, memory[20] doesn't actually exist, it will resolves as one of the user inputs.

    Hope that helps.

  • be carefull! It is so dark, monsters could spawn in there!

  • @IKNOWITSADUMBCOMMENT *Sets game to peaceful mode*, wouldn't want a creeper blowing it up from the inside ;)

  • @ohmgane3sha creeper = computer virus

  • @ohmgane3sha lol, creeper inplosion sucks

  • @IKNOWITSADUMBCOMMENT thats a dumb comment
