I grew up on the beach, and started in the water since I was about 4 or 5. I've competed on Nation and International levels, and have found that the only people that get caught up in the Body boarder/Surfer crap, is guys that cant surf very well, or inbreed locals that don't like anyone on their beach.

i think that both sports are amzing. They both have their different qualities that make them stand out. In surfing you can get these really long fast barrels and throw huge chunks of water. Many bodyboarders think its easy to do that but its not, it takes a lot of balance and practice to cutback when your going 15 mph. It is also a lot harder to drop in on a steep wave than it is for bodyboarding. Bodyboarding is also very hard, it is all about timing and muscle memory. i do both nd i luv both
