This was recorded live at the old greater grace temple, the church is now greater emanuel insitutional COGIC. Dr Clark's son in law Bishop J Drew Sheard .Sr is the pastor.
I was just listening to this song today in my car1 Wow! This choir did a great job singing this song. Listen to the sapranos and the men "climbing up the mountanin" This is the only chior I hear that is truly singing this song.
I've been trying to find the cd in town to but it and can't find the recording I didn't know that there was a dvd/tape or something, how can I get a copy because I can't even find the cd except on online.
It's truly difficult to watch Ora Watkins (the original leader of that song) to sing it without the direction of Mattie Moss Clark. This video is bitter sweet.
LOL! That's for real. Her voice is still the same as well. If you compared her voice on this song to her voice in 1962 when this song was originally recorded you will be amazed to find out every note, every rift, every roll, every holler, is exactly the same. Amazing artist! If you can do something that sounds different from everyone else stick with it!

..I sang this song before, and it is a task to sing! The choir under Dr. Clark who originated this song was a choir full of singin' machines!
