One of the best written speeches of all time. I'm not going to pretend that it has sweeping geopolitical/historical/politcal significance, or that DFW is any sort of phenomenal rhetor but this is possibly the most moving speech I've ever read about life and the human condition and choosing what your life will mean to you.
