you have to give your serial number of you iphone plue you sim card number and they will unlock it on there end so the next time you login to itunes it comes up with Congraduations you phone is now unlocked

you have to pay Telstra 150 bucks to unlock the iphone 3gs for you.

I went to Telstra and they told that they don't actually unlock them, they said I must call apple to unlock it for me and pay by credet card!

you have to call 1800 iphone and they do it over the phone. and yes you will need a credit card to do it.

not that I know of the setting for tethering will appear as a carrier update in itunes according to telstra, so is good to keep an eye out for itunes updates.

nah should be right I have 105 apps on my iphone 3g S and all app run very fast, and games have no lag which is so good.

i am currently this Telstra plan, but yeah if you want to buy it out right you have to go to optus

- iphone 3g S 32gb - $549 AUD upfront on a $30 aud a month plan. then you add you data pack on top of that.

there are cheaper upfront costs but your monthly cost goes up.
