BTW, if a rabbit wants to eat a head of lettuce that you bought. It was lettuce that we grew. They can go somewhere and eat lettuce. And the farmland that we take away from the animals for grain/ vegtables is FAR LESS then the amount of land used for livestock and food for livestock. 70% of the rainforest that has been taken away is because of meat consumption. So no matter what you choose your going to be doing some harm to the environment and animals, but going vegan is far less hurtful.

Also breeding has eradicated many other original and old breeds. And farming in general is responsible of huge lands and biodiversity destruction in particular in Amazonian original forest, only to produce soy for livestock and pastures (see FAO docs).

Me too, I love living beef : cows are beautifull, gentle, sensitive and intelligent beings. They are curious animals who enjoy solving problems . They have long memories and are capable of learning lessons from each other, just as humans do. Cows and their calves form strong bonds and the separation causes intense distress to both.
