    Smash the fascists. ;)

  • In there somewhere ! All 3 nights and most of the tour.....happy days indeed

  • Epic.

  • Stuart Morrow = bass hero.

  • michaelmorrow14, your uncle is one of my hero's, along with Justin and late Rob, I just love this band...

  • I used to have this gig on VHS tape - long since knackered and worn out. Anybody got a copy of it on disk or dvd they could send me? It would be very much appreciated! Message me if you can help me out please.

    Cheers.

  • I have always loved New Model Army's sound, the prominence of the bass being one of the reasons. I've always loved bass heavy music like this. The Subhumans from Canada had a similar sound, prominent bass all over the song. Bliss!! Thank you for posting this wonderful song.

  • @wynternight777 you might like Shriekback also. Good bass.

  • one of my late hubby's favs this one! .... my god will lead singer still be toothless at a gig XX:-)

  • I've seen them at the "Trabendo" for their 30th tour.. SUCH A PLEASUURE !!

  • Stuart best NMA bass player ever!

  • Hi Stuart, I found you in a round about way. I loved NMA so much, Thank you, it helped me become a man.

  • This gives me goose bumps, thanks for posting again. : ).

  • I was there too...silly studded wrist band and "blond" hair! Paul

  • Halcyon days...clogs...crimped hair - RAW MELODY MEN - PURE PRIDE!!!

I was there...I miss those days

  • Get a dentist.

  • @Shukria123 No rest for the wicked ones!!! 4 o clock in the morning still we cannot sleep, twisted in our sweat.. Who the fucking hell need a dentist if he composes this way!!!

  • the best group in the world

  • the legacy of new model army lives on ive listed me rare new model army album trumps on ebay .........enjoy.

  • Far king hell. Little Dave from Brixton on shoulders at the start of the song. Was this the "Raw Melody men" or was this the three night stint? My memory is going.

  • Stuart is working in the building trade in Bradford. Great guy and possibly the finest bass player ever! He left NMA largely because of Justins' missus, Joolz, who was trying to take over the band. He and my sister were partners for many years, and have a son. The late, lamented Rob Heaton was a family friend and is greatly missed by all who knew him.

  • saw all 3 nights and most of that tour, happy days.hello to all that were following them back in the days 83-85.

    Jol

  • saw them in denmark,

    two/ three guitars?, key boards?

    sort it out Justin.

  • Saw them last night in Barcelona. I was a bit disappointed really. I bought their first three singles & LP & then largely lost interest. I saw them in 1986 & they were OK. Testerday I was expecting a few oldies, but there were only four songs I recognised & a lot of new stuff. It's inevitable I suppose, but the older stuff sounds so much better than the newer material. Too much drumming & not enough of the old bass work. I'm just an old git I suppose.

  • i have been a fan of your uploads for quite some time now sham64andahalf ,sir you have some kill videos .keep up the great work.

  • Oh yeah I forgot to mention I was at that gig at the Marquee when they shot this video...perhaps you were too? Bring back the pork pie hat!!!!

  • I heard because of musical differences.......apparently Stuart wanted to be more musical you know with songs like "I Wish"..where as Justin wanted to keep on preaching ....Dunno for sure but he was a very good bass player. Wonder what he is doing right now???. BTW i am .HIGGY. Ask nick the frog who I am.

  • SON LA CAÑA

    Y AUN SIGUEN DANDO CAÑA

  • Saw them October 86 Town & Country club, left like a ball of sweat. £4:75 to get in!

  • 1985 at the Marquee: wasn't Joe McGann (brother to Paul McGann) on the door then. I didn't get to see them live until 2000 and something in New York. NMA still kicked ass and it was their so-called 'acoustic' tour.

  • WHY DID STUART MORROW LEAVE NMA?

  • ahh dont ya just love it,i was at this gig 1985,3 nights at the marquee, wardour street..yes i done all 3 fri sat sun,wow wat a week end ...

  • stuart morrow. best bass player of new model army

  • great songs even after all those years!!!!5*

  • What happened to Stu (best bassist ever) ?

  • Have a look at on my front page subcriptions list on the left and you'll see mooseharris himself. Alive, well and uploading great old NMA and Damned videos himself

  • He asked about Stuart, not the replacement!

  • @HarryUpHarry You mean my uncle stuart, i work with him

  • definitely the best nma song ever!

i'd like to have the bass tabs or at least the chords of this - if anybody has some, please let me know!

  • The best person to ask is moose harris himself. He is right here on youtube. Look on my subcription page on the left and click on him.

  • Again, thats the replacement to Stuart, so asking him probably won't help, unless he learned the song for live shows.

  • sham64andahalfbrain is my new name. Sorry mate,my mistake :-)

  • No bother, he was in the band for such a short time you could be forgiven in thinking he was never in it, if only for the fact he was an extreme bass player.

    Have a good one!

    (appleofglasgow as PosnocMedia)

  • Many songs of him were against drugs but he looks a bit junkie in this concert, however, i really admire him and his original and agressive music.

  • Looks can be decieving mate. My ex Mrs used to look like a 30 year old Rachel Welsh after a dozen pints of cider........

  • One of the best bands between The Clash and Pearl jam , by any standarts , even today.

  • he uses that bass like a lead guitar...this is fucking amazing. I love NMA more than i thought i did.

  • The CLASSIC NMA line up!There is a REALLY shit hot version of this on "All Of This"The Live raritys cd!They just seem to lock into a really tight unit!Love them!Peace!

  • he never told me himself but my dad said cos he didnt get on with Justin

  • Probably heresey to say it Michael cause heaven knows Slade is/was good but you have to wonder from this showing (and others on YouTube) if it might have been (nb Slade fans MIGHT) because Stuart was such an amazing musician and showman. Whatever, they were never the same w/o him. Hope he s happy now. Cheers.

  • My Uncle Stuart :)

havent seen him in time :(

    R.I.P Rob Heaton

  • Tell your uncle to get back in the band Michael! Although they are great, they were greater with Stuart in them.

  • hes in Into The Souls now but there pretty crap lol when i see him i will :)

  • Stu Morrow was NMA! Most agressive punchy bass playing ever: see the Christian Milita/ Smalltown England vid on YouTube from, funnily enuf, The Tube circa 1983/4.... if you think your Unc was hero then you know he was/is when you see that. Send him my regards and tell him Smalltown England changed me fro a waster to someone who at least tried! All the best nephew!

  • PS Michael, why did you Uncle leave the band when he did?

  • Hi Michael! Just in case you're not tired of hearing it, your uncle was/is a bloody brilliant bass player. The times I've played along to those songs....

  • the guitarist looks great

  • Ooooh, fantastic stuff, thanks for posting.

This must be shortly before Stuart left, he didn't play with them at Glasto in '85.

They just weren't the same after he left, he was such an awesome musician.

I was lucky enough to live in Bradford in the early 80s (on the same road as Rob), god knows how many times I saw them gig.

  • Great memories, i was at all three nights at the Marquee (best venue in London at the time)

Did a lot of that tour and recognise a few faces !

  • wow these guys ahve stood the test of time and are still brilliant, this song sounds great now like it did then.

  • Great! XD

But he's a bit ugly, huh?

  • no way!! he's really handsome, just not in a mainstream kind of way.

  • awesome band, awesome performance. i have this on video. I hadn't seen them before only heard them, then i saw them and was like..lol..toothy

  • saw them live in1988 the best nights they kept you fit on dancefloor

  • Ay up Sham! this is quality! :)

  • shit it is my dream to see NMA in the '80s

    during THAT period...............................

for now I ll see them in Berlin like 2 years ago

amazing video amazing band amazing audience

    love

    simone

  • I used to own the original video and lost it! I've been waiting for someone to post this...good job!

  • Cheers Sham-man for posting this sweet little bugger. I had the video 'til some twat half-inched it. I remember it had Ambition (unlike myself) and The Attack amongst others on it. The Morrow man hit the G-Spot every time!

  • this song is the bollocks !!
