  • my man. Jay Kay. Jamiroquai - one of the best bands ever.

  • Listen to the lyrics. The message behind this song is extremely important and is even more relevant now than it was when this song was released, way back in 1993. Jamiroquai truly were way ahead of their time.

  • Du temps ou les gens écoutait de la bonne musique plutot que la merde commerciale .

  • Wow, he looks so young. He doesn't look like himself without the scruffy facial hair. :) Love this song. The lyrics are so true. I love how socially conscious Jay Kay is.

  • Goddamnit I remember my dad listening to this song back then, and now I'm listening to it. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree indeed.

  • great bass line!!

  • The guy ranting about the Iraq war has a serious problem, and has been reaaaaaaly brainwashed by the left wings propaganda.

  • Those with a brain and a conscience - ALMOST NO ONE ON YOUTUBE! - can google (US Google) "Paying the Price Killing the Children of Iraq-John Pilger" and watch a BRITISH documentary uploaded to Google Videos about the sanctions on Iraq, and about US & UK support for this tyrant.

ANYONE ELSE WITH A SMART REMARK CAN EFF OFF!

  • Y si lo subimos en HD, que dicen?

  • The original line up was brilliant and then fame went to JK's head. Such a shame!

  • shit, he looks so different now.

  • this was time when ppl watched Music TV

  • @ciyvi9 Ahhh, the good times. When MTV was actually used to promote good music, be it one-hit wonders or the many long lasting bands we've seen since.

  • @grez14 why won't you just listen to the song and not publicitize other artists? I'm weary of this kind of comments, we got the picture ok?

  • @daylightghost2009 im not doing that, u get it all wrong, ok

  • @daylightghost2009 thank u

  • @jeff13933 excuse me, but for what?

  • Bayou completely missed the irony in 300359's comment. Hilarious.

  • Good song for young recrutes of the Taliban to listen too

  • @300359alann

Get the fuck out. Right now. You wanna drag your bullshit murdering religious fetish into this? Then make your self scarce. This song is about a completely alternate topic. This was peace. This was duty. This was a warning.

    This was real.

  • @BayouSnipera Each one is entitled to an own opinion in this 'peaceful world'. You don't understand my message, probably and if you vistied my channel you would see that I endorse peaceful ways. In contrast, your language of four letter words are extremely agressive and susprising for womeone who has a mouth full of peace...

  • @BayouSnipera E-thug lol

  • @Kdaljeet Yeah, because talking shit in person is dangerous. :)

  • @300359alann, more ignorance. The Taliban did NOT attack America. NO COUNTRY attacked America. 9/11 was carried out by a few individuals.

Bush failed to tell you that at the same time he was bombing Iraq, he was giving financial aid to Islam Karimov, tyrant of Uzbekistan, who then carried out three massacres. The US arms and supports Saudi Arabia, a terrible dictatorship, so, too, Kuwait, and even Pakistan. For 30 years, America armed & supported Mubarak of Egypt, ousted recently by the people.

  • @300359alann, a British historian and journalist uses declassified gov. documents:

Google without quotation marks: "The coup in Iran, 1953 Mark Curtis" - US & UK overthrew Iran's democratically-elected government & installed a brutal dictator in order to have continued access to Iranian oil after the gvrnmnt nationalized the industry perfectly LEGALLY in 1951.

Google "Complicity in a million deaths Mark Curtis"

& "The Pinochet coup in Chile 1973 Mark Curtis" - more US-installed dictators!

  • @300359alann, search youtube for "The Economic Hitmen SENTIENTMIND".

And I could go on, but it's unlikely you care, but someone reading these comments might.

democracynow (dot) org - is a good US alternative media site.

"Spider's Web" by Alan Friedman covers how the US armed Iraq in the 1980s. America supported and armed Saddam all through his worst atrocities in the 1980s. It was only when he stopped being useful that the US turned on him and fed the public a ton of propaganda.

  • @300359alann, Mark Curtis is a BRITISH historian, so he covers atrocities from a British perspective but all the ones I've listed and more on his site are also US atrocities. It's mostly about stealing resources - that's how the US & UK economy can keep growing, that's also why cheap/slave labor is used (sweatshops do NOT develop nations). Americans complain when THEY suffer at the hands of foreigners- very, very few have! - but they have no concern for those they are making suffer - millions!

  • @300359alann, as for bombing nations that "harbor" terrorists (although, the Taliban actually offered to turn bin Laden over if the US could provide evidence of his involvement in 9/11 - the US couldn't!), America harbors at least 1 known terrorist who blew up an airliner, killing 73 people:

Google (US site) "Letting a Cuban Terrorist Go Free Robert Parry"

Carriles escaped from a Venezuelan jail, and the US harbored this TERRORIST, this MURDERER. Bush's doctrine says the US should be bombed!

  • @marvin31415 Preach Much?

  • @theguy415, not as much as your filthy American. Americans preach to the world about freedom and democracy, and in reality, YOU SPILL BLOOD AND MURDER CHILDREN.

You Americans preached to the world about 9/11, preached and preached for years, just as for the last 60 years Americans have PREACHED about Pearl Harbor, a NON-EVENT! London suffered the Blitz - 11 WEEKS OF NON-STOP DAY AND NIGHT BOMBING!

Americans PREACH AND PREACH AND PREACH about how much they are VICTIMS.

    It's all BULLSHIT!

  • Comment removed

  • @theguy415, it was GEORGE BUSH - YOUR TWICE-ELECTED MASS MURDERING PRESIDENT - WHO PREACHED TO THE WORLD THAT "IF YOU'RE NOT WITH US, YOU'RE WITH THE TERRORISTS".

TAKE YOUR PREACHING, YANKEE, AND KEEP IT IN AMERICA!

That's where all the right-wing Christian fundamentalist preachers are!

  • @theguy415, of course, you were probably still in your diapers (nappies) when the US invaded Iraq, so you don't remember all THE PREACHING THE WORLD HAD TO TOLERATE FROM AMERICA. It was NON-STOP TALK ABOUT TERRORISM

"EITHER YOU'RE WITH US, OR YOU'RE WITH THE TERRORISTS," BUSH PREACHED TO THE WORLD

Bin Laden gave his reasons for attacking the US (assuming he wasn't just taking credit for the crime) - & the reason was mainly U.S. arming & supporting the Saudi Arabian regime, a vile dictatorship.

  • @theguy415, and what country did bin Laden come from - Saudi Arabia!

BUT AMERICA LIED & PREACHED TO THE WORLD THAT INTERNATIONAL TERRORISTS WERE BENT ON DESTROYING WESTERN CIVILIZATION.

The US was attacked, NOT the world - but the US dragged the world into its BLOODY WARS OF EMPIRE.

It's now been revealed that the UK government ministers met with oil executives long before the invasion - the oil executives saw Iraq as a great prize. So, it was about OIL, and a few other things.

  • @theguy415, I'LL PREACH WHEN PRICKS TROT OUT THE SAME TIRED OLD BULLSHIT ABOUT THE TALIBAN OR SADDAM BEING A THREAT TO THE WORLD.

Had 9/11 occurred in a poor African country, do u think America would have cared? Do u think the world would have had to listen to years of NON-STOP PREACHING ABOUT TERRORISM?

NOTHING WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! Because poor black people are irrelevant and expendable. Although, in reality, there was NO war on terrorism, just a pretext to expand the US empire.

  • @theguy415, & y not preach-JAY KAY of Jamiroquai has sold his soul to money & fame, so we can't expect any meaningful songs from him anymore, or for him to use his wealth constructively - he just loves to buy dozens of super expensive sports cars & drive them around all day long like a kid rides a new bicycle all day long. When he's not doing that, he's bragging, & when he's not bragging,he's threatening random people for scratching his new £250K car. A guy headbutted JK for getting 2 aggressive

  • @jakejake2012 please , you can insult many an artists or musician but you are just insulting yourself when you talk like that about jay kay , this guy is keeping music alive by himself.

  • @theguy415,

"Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

"Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it."

    -60 Minutes (5/12/96

Having armed Saddam in the 1980s, supported him all through his worst atrocities, kept him in power, the US punished the Iraqi population.

  • @theguy415, but Americans got fed propaganda - i.e. that Saddam killed his people, not the sanctions. The sanctions were responsible. Just as Americans were fed propaganda about Saddam's involvement in 9/11 - he wasn't involved! - but over 50% of Americans believed the lies, & over 75% supported Bush when he invaded, & didn't care how many Iraqis would die as a result

3000 US dead- millions of foreigners killed so that Americans can sleep peacefully at night

Now, go back to playing rap, u dolt

  • @jakejake2012 why? why u gotta ruin a nice song with its good mesage. everyone gets fed propaganda and you right now are fuelled by hate, the music didnt do the killing.

please use politics in politics forums.

  • @theguy415, but Iraqi children weren't TOO YOUNG TO DIE - even 5-year-olds were being killed by US and UK sanctions. As others turned against the sanctions, the US and UK held firm. The British and US politicians didn't care how many children died, or how young they died.

And all u can do is ask if I do a lot of preaching

Now, go back to ur stupid black American rap music, filled with foul language, misogynistic & homophobic lyrics, sex, violence, & NOTHING THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH *MUSIC*

  • @jakejake2012 hahaha cool story bro

  • Comment removed

  • @jakejake2012 and this music isnt bad...i dont olny listen to american rap...you sound ignorant and stereo typical

  • @jakejake2012 man its just music, music to let all our leaders know that wait for it we're to young so on so forth. music is the only thing in this world left that has the power to bring nations together.

my countries bad his countries bad your countries bad, but this song aint half good.

so stop being a Dick and start singing something

  • @marvin31415 lol they couldn't prove osama was responsible? He released a video saying he was the one that did it.

  • IWANT YOUR PONCHO

  • exactly, Jeff, there's stevie wonder all over in this tune.

    ;)

  • I'm all over you tube and Jamiroquai and Stevie Wonder r my favorite uploads on here. These r true classics, rare and precious gems made to push creative boundaries and move them to the left. These songs r evidnce of gifted gifted souls creating modern masterpieces. Not only r the tunes initially catchy but the nature of them is cerebral. Nothing okey doke or matter of fact over here.

  • 最高に素晴らしい!!!

  • This was the first time I heard of this class act here in Oz. Deserved to at least reach the top 50 singles (in Oz), but I had to wait till Cosmic Girl before that happened. -Daz

  • When they were still together (zender, smith, jay kay, mckenzie) they had a special feeling that dropped us out from earth, without drugs, and that's probably why their greatest song is called Mr moon. Now, when you're listening to rock dust light star, you can use drugs, you'll always stay on earth

  • 32 People are either extremely retarded or just deaf!!! ;)

  • @JERONALFA more like theyre just stupid lol
