man i got so good in this game.with getter robo if you time it right you can actual dodge shit by changing forms. the hardest to do this trick with is a nuke like weapon or wing zeros twin buster rifle but it aawesome to to perform

shin getter deffinantly needs to be waaaay faster than that, especially when he's running... hopefully they come out with a game on ps3 and its not all slow and shit.... in my opinion ace2 was the best because it was faster paced and domon had them badass g-gundam/dragonballZ lookin combos

I don't see why people call Shin Getter weak. Give it infinite energy, and it's the most OP unit in the game.

Hell, disappointing? I don't know what you're talking about, Shin Getter is one of my favorite units to use in that game. It's easily the best at eliminating a group of enemies quickly.

Actually, it does fit the theme of the game. Mass production robots fighting mass production robots. Since they've established in the super robot wars games that Getters are Both Super Robots and Real Robots, simply because when one is destroyed they can build another asap. Sort of how like the Eva units count as real/super. tl;dc

No, you should shut up. If anything, I think EVA would've fit better. But considering Shin Getter is my fave robo, I don't mind. BTW, Gundam-esque Real Robots? I know they were crappy beyond recognition, but I'd call them really low end supers rather than Reals.

No.  Because of the massive use of Gundam-esque "real robots" in Getter Armageddon, they decided to include the OVA's storyline in the game.

Though it does insult some fans. Though I don't mind. Shin Getter's "Shin Getter vs Neo Getter" version was actually the weakest incarnation. I'd go as far as saying that this is the Shin vs Neo version under the skin of the Armageddon version. (I count out the Blue Getter mode of the Shin vs Neo version in these statements.)

The Getter Beam is all it takes to overcome Shin Getter's lack of speed. GREAT mob control, the Tomahawk Throw helps as well. Don't forget Getter-3's Missile Storm, too.

Its a common mistake but it cool you noticed

Getter 2 is usually actually faster over short periods than Getter 1 usually. It can fly but usually only in bursts.  This is reflected in Mach Vision, where it for a short time it blurs.

Problem is, unlike the OVA Shin Getter who has god-like speed, this version is SLOW. In Real Ace mode, you'll be gang-raped by faster-moving units before you could even fire Stoner Sunshine. :/

Well if shin getta had the same specs, as the ova version did, then it would be an ultra easy task to finish the game.

So to the end, it is better to see our favorite mecha watered down instead not seeing it all :)
