  • I watched this again only for their accents :)

  • SO talented, I love you!

  • OMG... I can't believe I'm just learning about them.... they could so make it big, someone need to snatch them up proper. They should be mainstream huge like Rihanna.

  • @lggkerry Except these girls can sing, Rihanna can't.

  • @jamstrings100 what the hell you on about, rihanna can sing too.

  • @orhun20 If you say so mate.

  • hey search bolder gazet van antwerpen

  • I like this group, unfortunately; I am just hearing about them.. Y is it that these singers don't get played like other ones. Really all do is listen to Caribbean music reggae, dance hall, gospel reggae, soca, etc... I like island music. it is possible i could have heard the music and not know the name of the singers... promoters whoever you are please promote your artist....

They can make!!!!!!!!!!!! most people are hungry for good music.....

  • Not trying to offend. I like jamaican English but I can see how the try not to speak real jamaican english. From Santo Domingo.

  • @andreagomera ..that is how they naturally speak. They are not trying to speak like that. Not every Jamaican has a strong accent. Some Jamaicans have a more refined accent.Geez.

  • Ppl who know betta, must just let it go. There are so many stereotypes and negative views surrounding Jamaica, that if we should address each one of them, and entirely eradicate these ideas, it's like we'd be forming a new country, one that no one has ever heard of. It's like putting ourselves on the map all over again, for the first time. 'Time Will Tell'

  • yaa man!!! :D

  • Listen I am Jamaican I have lived in Jamaica all my life and therefore i can tell u that most Jamaicans can speak standard english, u just know the time and place to do so, so in formal settings its english in informal settings its patois only in a few rural areas and some garrisons in the island standard english is rarely spoken. I reiterate, this is hardly the case because once you are going to school you must learn to read and write in standard english, patois is NOT accepted!!!!

  • @jhenesingh Agreed! I'm not Jamaican, but I definitely know what you're talking about. I swear why do people(not all) think it's so hard for West Indians to speak standard English? I'm Kittitian and many of us here can change from Creole to standard in a heartbeat!

  • mi love jamaican accent...

  • What song is playing at the start

  • @00Crazyness take me back

  • Sexy West Indian accent :)

  • yes...batty and bench.lol

  • Jamaican dialect is a piece of cake for me. My Mom is Jamaican, so since I grew up with her being around and having the accent, I understand everything

  • Well I understand them.... but anyways I so love their accent.... its so beautiful!!!

  • How can anyone NOT understand them? Their accent ain't even that strong. -_-

  • are people really saying they cant understand them??

they are talking with like those uptown accents that seem kinda like imitation british to me haha

if you cant you really would have no idea what the rest of the population is saying..itd be like chinese to u :S

  • @guardian...they are international... Hollywhat? California can't offer them what they need. Rhianna changed her Humble ways for What ever reason, not her accent and that's where she went wrong...sad to say.

  • what the heck are u talking about @sguardian? if we all sounded like u americans, can u just imagine how dry the world would be? NO, they don't need to be you to sell music and NO Rihanna didn't change her accent either. When she speaks she distinctly sounds Barbadian. And furthermore, Rihanna has been on the scene for a long time, give these girls a chance. Who exactly are u again?

  • what the heck are u talking about @sguardian? if we all sounded like u americans, can u just imagine how dry the world would be? NO, they don't need to be you to sell music and NO Rihanna didn't change her accent either. When she speaks she distinctly sounds Barbadian.

  • @sguardian870 u sound dumb because sean paul, beenie man, lady saw, and shaggy sold many records and they did not change their accents

  • @sguardian870 oh wow she didn't change she sounds straight up Barbadian dude and no they dont have to change to make it they are amazing the way they are

  • i still tryin to figure out why people say Jamaicans and Bahamians sound alike, just to let everyone know I'm a Bahamian and if you pay close attention you'll notice a huge difference in the accent and folks, they speak Patois we speak Bahamianese or Bahamian Creole

  • the songs take me back

  • cool:o Your little princess is here to please you

  • why the hell would you tumbs down this video?! ppl are really stupid fi real!!!

  • excuse me but I WANT TO HEAR MORE FROM THEM. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BRICK AND LACE :((((((( AKON BETTER NOT HAVE LET THEM GO.

  • @Impatientwithdesire, Citizen idiot. What's your understanding of the british accent?

Someday, when you are able to break your piggie bank and you've saved up enough to travel, swing by. You'll find they indeed do sound 'british'.

There are numerous british accents, you cow of easy virtue. You'll find if you travel to areas of London [not the west end] or Bristol or in the north east regions, the accent is ubiquitous.

Impatient with desire indeed! Have you ever travelled?

  • @01bossmj

why do you people hate so much??? my god people cant comment without losers like yourself going apeshit

are you me? how the fuck you gonna tell me what something sounds like to ME? get the fuck outta here

im from the carribean - i know what the fuck im talking about

now get outta here with your ghetto ass loud unnecessary comments. people like you need to do the world a favor

    hater ass

  • @01bossmj Jamaicans from the garrisons are the hardest to understand their language does not sound any thing like english when you first hear them. It depends on where you go in Jamaica but it is all Patois. It is a mix of many languages. They sound like upper classed Jamaicans.

  • @01bossmj I always thought Jamaicans sounded more Irish/Scottish but I guess it depends on where they are from on the island. I think St Elizabeth people sound more Irish and portland people sound more Scottish.

  • @SweetAdvice

    I think the same!

  • the acsent is funny hahaha

  • I love being of Jamaican descent we have such a rich culture. I cnt wait to go there = )

  • they sound british sometimes

  • @impatientwithdesire ..how the hell do they sound british? They are Jamaicans they just don't have a strong accent. Not all Jamaicans have a strong accent.

  • @impatientwithdesire west indian countries were conquered by the British.

  • its been 3 damn years since they had any new material . akon been spending so much time with lady gaga that the totally forgot about brick and lace

  • they have beautiful voices and I wish they were bigger in the States

  • Nailah sound like a friend of mine who comes from Kingston now living in the states. Everything from her tone and inflection reminds me of her. Proof that not all Jamaicans speak patois at all times. People need to really open their eyes about the island because Jamaica is full of diversity.

  • brick & lace are jamaican girls. They're twin sisters. They got a career. and they're cool singers. :) :D

  • wha';s the song they're singing??

  • unu sing GOOD

  • I LOVE THEIR ACCENT

  • i never knew they were jamaican

  • @chrisbrownswifey109 their dad is jamaican :)

  • im Jamaican & i dont speak it...but i understand it! i was raised in America and when i went to school they always put me in speech classes to speak proper English...so now when i think about it i must of had a strong accent...but i still have a little accent...

  • @Kikki239 i learned before i came to america

  • i can speak this accent, but i wont.. because people will look at me like:

WHAT?! White guy talking with jamaican accent

  • @Ingensson well actually theres white people in Jamaica

  • mmmmm so beautiful

  • Ha, I was thinking their accent reminds me of the Irish accent, then I googled it and Wikipedia also says the same thing oO. I never noticed it before.

  • @soapoperafan4life yes u can!!!!! jamaica 2 da wurllll! I lv my country!

  • @reneealicious am talkin about non jamaican cause some jamaican do have a strong accent the american n other country don't know wat they sayin ...

  • @soapoperafan4life i understand them....there accent not strong lik lady saw hers is powerful...and am american...but i think i understand them because half my family jamaican and haitian

  • @boohcool oh ok

  • @soapoperafan4life they speak much better english than majority of jamaicans. jamaicans cut a lot of there words short. like i met a jamaican lady at my job and i told her she speaks much better english than most jamaicans. she told me it depends on the upbringing because she could not speak patwha( i know i spelled that wrong) in her house thats why she speaks good english. but majority of jamaicans dont speak as good as they do.

  • @YANAMization true it have to be with the upbringing, but in skool they though u to speak perfect english also. my parents were the same way i couldn't speak patwa around them only around my friends when we r playin out side.

  • @YANAMization that's not true i live in Jamaica and the school i went to most of my schoolmates spoke english only two spoke patwah

  • Comment removed

  • @soapoperafan4life not all jamaicans talk patois i dont all the time

  • wats that song at da begginging

  • take me back.

  • People i am a Jamaican, live there for 20 years of my life, now i live some where else, and Ghetto in Jamaica is like any other ghetto in any other countries.

There are places in Jamaica when i am there i feel like i am in a different place from earth, and there are places that i would not dear to walk.

  • ARE THEY SISTERS?

  • lol where have you been .. YESS

  • yeah they are and they have 2 other sisters as well tht can sing also

  • all my fams frm jamaica !! go there al lot its wicked place lol lves it

  • Beautiful and talented Jamaican women

so proud to be a jamaican

  • These girls are amazing!!!

  • Very good my beautiful sisters.

  • i think they are realy hoooooooooooot

  • "We didn't have cable or anything like that...it was a simpler life?" WTF? That is such a lie. These girls are uptown so I highly doubt they didn't have cable. They make Jamaica sound like some form of village. Not cool you guys.

  • you know maybe true man, i didn't get cable till i was 22 (i didnt have cable growing up either), and me and Nyanda were in the same class for 3 years, (same school 5 years). I have worked with their dad too on alot of projects, really cool people. So it could be true. in fact i dont doubt.

  • Have you been to Jamaica? Some parts of it resember village, my family is very classy and we lived in neighborhoods where you were lucky to have hot water or an indoor bathroom, yet they were nice houses, many bedrooms, no one really has cable in Jamaica haha

  • I live in Jamaica so shut the fuck up.

  • I apologize, I will "shut up" if only to avoid further juvenile retorts like that one.

  • The only thing juvenile here is the ignorant comment you made of what Jamaica is like.

  • This comment further reiterates your ignorance. Visiting and living there are two entirely different things. I've never seen neighbourhoods with outdoor bathrooms and I'm neither 'stoosh' nor 'uptown' so I guess I've lived in a different Jamaica than the one you have casually visited. If I said all Black Americans are ignorant and have stupid names, that would be based on the fact that every one of them I have met is of that countenance. But it would still be ignorant of me to say that.

  • I try to drop it and you continue to insult me by calling me ignorant. I NEVER said there aren't nice areas in Jamaica. My point was that you keep implying that there are NO poor areas in Jamaica which is not the case. "Casually visited"?? I've spent years there. Even if I hadn't seeing is seeing. I see how family and friends live there, I've seen the ghetto, I've seen the nice areas. I don't know why you're so insulted. You've never been to the ghetto, congrats.

  • were have you been 2!! that is not nice! how can u speak that way abt a place that u dont really kno! i have been living in Jamaica for all my almost 18 years and i can assure that most houses have the bathrooms indoors, in fact probablyover 90%. and see u proved my point that u dont kno wat u r talking abt, in jamaica WE dont need HOTWATER, waste of money wen the place is already hot as hell. so as a patriot I implore u to SHUT DA 'EFF' UP!

  • Britain has hundreds of thousands of pretty mixed race girls. First Jamaicans + Other Caribbeans arrived (1950) then in the last 25 years (1984) and still now many West Africans are arriving. On the streets of London many girls look just like 'Brick and Lace". The problem is that most of these girls have babies by about 3 different guys and they live off the government handouts but they are really pretty.

  • Why do all Jamaicans claim they are fron Kingston?

  • Because Kingston is the Capital of Jamaica, and a lot of people do come from Kingston.
