Listen I am Jamaican I have lived in Jamaica all my life and therefore i can tell u that most Jamaicans can speak standard english, u just know the time and place to do so, so in formal settings its english in informal settings its patois only in a few rural areas and some garrisons in the island standard english is rarely spoken. I reiterate, this is hardly the case because once you are going to school you must learn to read and write in standard english, patois is NOT accepted!!!!

Have you been to Jamaica? Some parts of it resember village, my family is very classy and we lived in neighborhoods where you were lucky to have hot water or an indoor bathroom, yet they were nice houses, many bedrooms, no one really has cable in Jamaica haha

Britain has hundreds of thousands of pretty mixed race girls. First Jamaicans + Other Caribbeans arrived (1950) then in the last 25 years (1984) and still now many West Africans are arriving. On the streets of London many girls look just like 'Brick and Lace". The problem is that most of these girls have babies by about 3 different guys and they live off the government handouts but they are really pretty.

People i am a Jamaican, live there for 20 years of my life, now i live some where else, and Ghetto in Jamaica is like any other ghetto in any other countries.
There are places in Jamaica when i am there i feel like i am in a different place from earth, and there are places that i would not dear to walk.

you know maybe true man, i didn't get cable till i was 22 (i didnt have cable growing up either), and me and Nyanda were in the same class for 3 years, (same school 5 years). I have worked with their dad too on alot of projects, really cool people. So it could be true. in fact i dont doubt.

Have you been to Jamaica? Some parts of it resember village, my family is very classy and we lived in neighborhoods where you were lucky to have hot water or an indoor bathroom, yet they were nice houses, many bedrooms, no one really has cable in Jamaica haha

The term "ignorant" implies that I don't know what it's like, like I've never been there. I meant you no disrespect, I was just laughing over how few people in Jamaica can afford those things, just from the parishes that I've been to. But that doesn't mean that the people there cant be stoosh and act uptown. This comment further reiterates your ignorance. Visiting and living there are two entirely different things. I've never seen neighbourhoods with outdoor bathrooms and I'm neither 'stoosh' nor 'uptown' so I guess I've lived in a different Jamaica than the one you have casually visited. If I said all Black Americans are ignorant and have stupid names, that would be based on the fact that every one of them I have met is of that countenance. But it would still be ignorant of me to say that.

Britain has hundreds of thousands of pretty mixed race girls. First Jamaicans + Other Caribbeans arrived (1950) then in the last 25 years (1984) and still now many West Africans are arriving. On the streets of London many girls look just like 'Brick and Lace". The problem is that most of these girls have babies by about 3 different guys and they live off the government handouts but they are really pretty.
