How much power are you putting on that sub? Cause I have a PBXES 10DS D2 spekaer waiting in a box already, but I`m not sure whether I am going to put it into my trunk (I just got myself a new amp I figured that I`m quite satisfied with its 2ohm performance), but for the future use I would like to know how much power can those speakers (same as yours, 500WRMS and 2 2ohm coils) handle.
@Feelgoodie Actually my sub has two 4Ω coils, so its running at 2Ω total. :) It's powered by a mono-block amp from Memphis that claims 500W RMS output & 1Ω stable. I have it set about 2/3 power output, and when I turn the volume up on the deck, it can definitely blow the sub. I would say that two of these speakers could easily be run by this amp safely at the highest possible power output. If I were to use all 500 W RMS, then it would probably catch the sub on fire. lol

Appreciate your answer, cheers.
