hey how come when i put it in windows movie maker its all blury and i save it to movie file and regular file and still sounds blury is there a way where i can take that off so it doesnt have that little blur in the backround

@ArogersRS not always the computers at my school(the old ones) you wouldnt have any thing plugged into it(mic, headset, headphones) and it still records our voices but the newer computers dont do it for some reason so ya like my school got new computers donated to them and stuff but alot of the teachers still have them and if theirs was slow they trade it in for a laptop

I have done things like this for years, on my windows XP computer. (the recorder hasnt changed at al between 3.1 and XP) I've recorded enough to fill 4 CD's with random crap/fun with friends, sometimes using the effects.

Now I have Windows 7 which, as previously stated, has a crappy Sound recorder that only ... records sounds.

The question is: is it possible for me to download this version of the Sound recorder somewhere (for free) and replace Windows 7's one? I (would really be helped).

@SuperSomeBuddy If you record nothing for 60 seconds and then decrease speed to how long you want, then you can overwrite the nothingness to your sound. you can also pause every 50 seconds. I've done that.

@LeoMetalac it is a program that comes with your computer(like internet explorer). you don't have to download it.

actually if you have a computer with xp and one with vista you can go on your xp one and right-click sound recorder and go to file location and copy sndrec32.exe and put it on a jump-drive

and plug it into your vista computer and drag it onto your desktop and thus, you have it! (but, when you open it it says "error updating registry" then opens it.)

you have to have a microphone unless u have a laptop the laptop has a built in microphone

I downloaded Fake voice and Wavepad editor a couple weeks ago. I hated them so I deleted them from my computer. After a couple days I recorded with sound recorder to record sound effects. But then it says : Another application is recording audio. Stop recording with this this other application and then try sound recorder again. I checked for any trace of Fake voice and Wavepad editor but I can't. Help P.S. I also set the sound properties to default and it still doesn't work! :(
