  • OMG that baby kitty is just the cutest thing ever ;) LOVE YOU!!!!!!! :D

  • Ba fooled again i always assume custom means you did more than put it together :(

  • @ubxp So, Im not sure if you noticed that I cut my own blow hole, side window, and added my own custom cut heatsinks to the ram on the graphics card along with replacing the vga cooler. So, unless you have a video showing you've done something more "custom" then that please do tell.

  • @jellypoopoo ZOMG you swaped out a VGA cooler thats heaps pro. srsly thats like nothing, ill admit that the blow hole is "cutom" but hardly worth showing it on youtube. Also i wasnt the one claming to have build a custom PC.

  • v nice case... pls tell me: in wich direction do the 3 fans on the side blow??

im gonna get the same setup... and is the one in the top so important? THX

  • @shxxx82 The three fans on the side blow air into the case directly on the graphics card. The fans help a ton when playing games to keep the graphics card cool, however, you want to make sure the fans pulling air out can get similar cfm, cause otherwise the fans will die out sooner. Thats why I placed the one on top blowing out, and yes, I do think it makes a large difference because heat rises, so might as well throw it in to remove the hot air pocket in the top of the case. Thanks for askin!

  • @jellypoopoo Dude your are so right! I can totally dig that. Sometimes the most simple advice is the most helpful.

  • wot r the tiny fans for?

  • Great rig back in its day! Looks like something off the hulk! lol nice one :')

  • I didn't see any cables either, no idea what DADVolbeat is talking about. The green lighting looks good, mine is red. Nice job.

  • you have beast cable managment

  • what was the exact cost of the this custom pc ?

  • custom PC range from 600$ to 50000$

  • stupid noobs, even for today is an awsome pc.

my build is from august 2008 and still beats a lot of today computers(q6600+freezer 7pro; hd4870,x38 motherboard,4gigs of patriots,wd raptor+hitach 500gb for storage) it was a monster back then :)

  • HAve you had good luck with hitach hds

  • pree good rig but if I were you i would get rid of those hitachis fast...

have had some bad bad bad things hapen between me and those HDD.

  • It's 3 years old and still beats the standard home computer now a days..

  • this fuckin video was uploaded 3 years ago give the guy a break that shit was new back then the i7 wad just a day dream give the guy a break its not a bad computer for its day

  • Your missing some heatsink for the memory. and a cooling device for the memory

  • for me"" is a superb computer for gaming"" ummm amazing""

  • @yanozdeath lok at the date of the vid man, this was good shit back then

  • lol.. his helper, a CAT XD

  • where buyed these little awesome green fans and how much?

  • it looks like an microwave

  • hehe i remmber when i had an 8800gts 2 years ago awesome card! now i got 2x gtx 280's in sli tho

  • xD fist you build than you start drilling in your case ... smart ??

  • Yeah unfortunately I built it stock first then a few months later decided to mod the case but I'm no fool went through the pain and suffering of tearing it down and rebuilding it. Either way it was ok because it was then that I added the GPU cooler so it needed to be pulled apart anyhow.

  • Love the build, I'djust have ditched the 8800 gpu,.. I had one of those and the dang thing crashed 7months later,.. got an rma, and the new one crashed another 7months later. 8800's SUCK!

I now have a 9800 and LOVE it.

  • Thats too bad man, I guess I got lucky because I'm still rolling on the same original card its getting close to two years now! But, of course it makes no difference things get better so fast I really need to upgrade again. They get your money either way.

  • fuck 8800 gts,, its still a legend card but for the same price get new 5750 which is dx11 and bets the 8800 ultra

  • @germanwolf34 The 9800 is just a revision of the 8800... Same core is used.

  • @HenkAnnieNaald

Well,."I" had the 8800 GTX, and it was a heap of junk. I paid nearly $600 for it, and it lasted 7months, then the 1st RMA was defective, & the 2nd RMA lasted another 7 months. After that I told EVGA to send me a different card. I ended up selling that card because I didn't trust it. I got this XFX 9800 & LOVE it,.. not a single problem.

  • @germanwolf34 Thats what i said.; Its a revison. With the 9800 they changed the core so it wouldnt get that hot anymore, the instructions are the same.

  • @HenkAnnieNaald Ohhh I misunderstood. Plz be more specific in the future.

  • Tbh. its ugly. You should make a window, take some beautiful parts, paint it and so on. That is just too ugly. Sorry to say.

I can put my videos up later, if you want to see how it should look like. I just need to get my new watercooling home..

  • Are we talking about the same PC? This one has a window and so on. . .

  • You dont got cable management, and you should definaltly get watercooling.

  • lol dude I routed all the cables behind mobo tray. There isn't a single cable visible from the window...

  • @jellypoopoo watercooling would be sweet

  • @jellypoopoo

dont make an effort to please the youtube fags cuz they are never pleased with cable management

  • @jellypoopoo hey to make ur computer faster u should OC your cpu to 3.4 GHz

just a buy a good cooler something like a corsair H50

    and your done

the Q6600 OCed can be better then stock speed Core I7

  • @DADVolbeat thats cable management ..behind the mobo .now stop trolling depresso

  • its ok for todays standars but seen as its from 1 year ago its awsome

  • good shit great fuckin beat dude

  • nice pc , but ugly ram

  • id say ugly board

  • awesome man. looks really good. i hope to get into modding once I get older and have funds lol.

    Really nice cable management!

  • O,M,G I have the same monitor as you dooo!!!!

    the 22" samsung SyncMaster 226BW

  • Hello, im MD and im a PC

Nice PC, how much did you spent building it?

  • I can't remeber for sure this was now rolling close to a few years old but I think I got it for 750ish, which was pretty cheap for a couple years ago.

  • Nice build!

  • Wow 37 degrees on the 8800gt :|

Nice case btw, but the change the song next time ;P

  • Comment removed

  • Was that Liquid cooled?

  • no, air.

  • i give you props. you turned a $10 case into a $100 case just by some mods. nice.

  • Thanks a lot man. Your quite the mod king yourself. All your mods are pretty impressive.

  • lol. i wouldnt call my self a king. im a hobbyist and a curious person. I kind of person that says " ooh what does this button do?' but i do take pre-cautions. thanks

  • Never use epoxy, Use proper thermal paste

  • It is proper. I used thermal paste on the GPU core I had to use special thermal epoxy made by Artic Silver because the heatsinks for the ram have no bracket. They hang upsidedown. It is specifically made for this task.

  • very very nice pc :) music name pls

  • Artist - Sneaker Pimp

    Song - "In the Blue"

  • i want to cry right now, every time i heard of that q6600 i alway want to cry

  • every fucking moder moder or costumizer listen to techno thats piss me off

  • Well I'm sorry you get "pissed off" about it but I must say this is trip-hop not techno. Have you looked at any of my other videos? You would then see that It's not all I listen to.

  • for real if it was techno it would suck some major dick this is ok i quess but i like rock XD

  • wtf you expect us to listen to hip hop ragedy shit? or classical music?

  • what chassi is that?

  • To be honest I forget the model for it but it was a super cheap Rosewill case I paid around 15 bucks for. No joke, found it on newegg. It was the only case I could find that had no fancy things on it since I planned on cutting out the window and top myself.

  • Very cool build. Have you done aany overclocking on the Q6600 yet?.

I also love the music I will have to try a copy of that.

  • Unfortunatly I have not been able to overclock the Q6600. The motherboard I have is not capable of much. I recieved the Q6600, Mobo, and Vista in the "Intel Retail Package" for way cheap. When I built it I was short on funds and had to use the cheap Mobo. I should have upgraded from that a long time ago... :(

  • I know what that is like. I have had a few boards like that myself.

There are some software overclocking options kind of a work around for boards that dont have many bios options . If a person wanted to play around with it.

  • Yeah I did try a few of those not many would work on my Mobo. I got SetFSB to work but I couldn't do much without crashing. I ended up just OC the graphics card and leaving it at that. But hey its still plenty fast to do anything I need. I will definatly get high end mobo when I build my next one though.

  • Nothing at all wrong with running it at 2.4.

That looks like a intel Mobo if it is I may have a link to show you a good software for using on it. It worked well on a gateway I have with a intel board.

  • Jellypoopoo, nice video and build. who's playing the music?

  • Its an early song from Sneaker Pimps, called "In the Blue". Thanks for watching I'm glad you like it!

  • got disctracted by the background sound, love it. who sings and what song is that?

  • Kelli Dayton sings "In the Blue" from the band Sneaker Pimps. She was only their lead singer for a little while till they kicked her out over ten years ago.

  • Very clean, Great build! Bit flashy but i am boring when it comes to my cases!

  • Nice.

  • hey man... your rig is so cool man..

    5/5

  • sup, what did you use to cut the hole in your case, i used some wodd cutter, it cut one hole, but doing the second it just went blunt!

    thanks

  • Hey, I actually used a jig saw. I don't have a hole saw big enough to make the 120mm fan hole. I just drew a circle and did it by hand hopeing for the best. Turned out pretty decent anyway!

  • Nice Quad-Paw :)

  • Nice temps dude! Now you only need to overclock the heck out of that q6600. 3 to around 3,8 ghz should be easily achieved with that cooling.

  • finally someoine who deosnt light there case blue

  • i got a blue fan, a multi color fan, (yellow, red, green, blue) and im planning on getting more when i have some sratch.

  • Nice work!

  • Very nice build. Towards the end of febuary I'm thinking of doing a custom build any ideas on anything or sugestions?

  • As far as ideas, I say try to make things unique. I know the above computer is not the most unique but I went green (not blue), which is sort of uncommon. Themed computers are great! If you have a favorite: car, show, game, or culture I would go that rout. you should post a vid when your done I'd like to see it!

  • well my theme is probaly ether gonna be red and black, purple and black or purple and red

  • All of those sound good, but I think the purple and black would look the best together.

  • red and black dude!

  • almost all samsung drives get tray alignment problems I get a lot of those back to repair but u cant do much

  • gonna have problems with the dvd drive but fuckin sick pc dude

  • Thanks man, but problems with drive? What do ya mean?

  • sweet man :O

  • was that friggin gpu on carpet?

    tsk tsk.

  • where did you get the green led fans at?

    good video man 5/5.

  • It was actually a pain getting all the green fans in both 80 and 120. Not many stores had both. They are all Apevia brand and I've been pretty happy with them. The model for the 80 is CF4SL-UGN and the model for the 120 is CF12SL-UGN. They move some serious air! Thanks for the feedback.

  • sick dude!

  • sweet case bro :)

  • kitty!

  • whats that where you put the sata cable into another sata port, what does that do?

  • doesnt matter looked at it wrong rry

  • I have same gpu, psu...

  • I hate your case D:, You should get the Smilodon case thats what I got! just 3 days ago and its awsome! its only 74 bucks!!!!!! ok well just a hint and I like all the fans you have :)

  • Yeah, I know the case is a bit lame. The reason I went with that case was so I could cut it up. I wanted to add the side window and blow hole by myself, and this case was simple and had none of that predone. Thanks for the comment!

  • Very clean design, good job.

  • i bet the helper Did the whole thing!

    Lol Jk

    Good job.

  • Loved the cable routing! nice build matey, well put together =)

  • wow you really made the inside look nice. In the indside of mine, all the power supply cables are all scattered around and it looks ugly. Thats a really nice computer.

  • Thank you so much! It's really nice to hear comments like that. Thanks :)

  • good build... But it is almost the same as my build. so i have to say its not a custom build

  • custom:

    "adjective

made according to the specifications of an individual" (quoted from dictionary)

At least we are only "almost" the same! You should post some videos on yours! Thanks for the feedback. :)

  • hmm, i guess you got me there. Guess i should have looked that 1 up first :), the only difference is i got a 500W power supply, and mine dosnt glow in the dark. How much did the whole build cost?

  • Well it as been a little while since I built it but upon quickly adding it id say around 750. Keep in mind though I used that program Intel retailedge. I explain it in the below comment. And I bet now the value has dropped since there is better, faster, and newer technology out there :(

  • That will always be the case. My friend told me the it is estimated that in 2030 computers will get twice as fast every 10 days!

  • I can see that, no question. Even now computers are outdated the min they hit the shelves. But even then, there is always be the fun parts of building or modding the old beasts. I have a pentium 3 i will prolly never get rid of, the dam thing is only like 400 Mhz but it has value to me. so even with the market going crazy retro will always be cool to me.

  • Its a very nice computer over all but the ram is very lacking and there are better mother boards for the money

  • Yeah I agree, the reason I have this motherboard is it came in the package from "Intel Retail Edge Program." If you take their quizes and junk you get a discount on some parts. The year I did the program i got the Q6600, Motherboard, and Vista for 250ish.

  • Yeah there's no better price then free or a very good discount :P

  • where could i find the quizes and junk? =)

  • nice job =D

  • You have lots of fans!!lol. Overall, nice build

  • yeah, quite a few :) but believe it or not it is quieter now than when i had the original 8800 fan that card is way loud.

  • i love the green i wont to put green fans in my my antec 900. they put blue in like every case they need to mix it up a bit.

  • Yeah, I agree. The green was a pain to find, took me a while to track all the ones I wanted. But totally worth the work. You should put green in your antec, I bet you it would be one of the first! Half the fun in computers is making it unique.

  • i love computers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol, thats enthusiasm!

  • everything looked good cept the cheap ram. and what kind of mobo is that? didnt get a good look at it.

  • Yeah ram was definatly cheap, went that way for a reason though. The mobo is an intel board i recieved in the "retail edge program" which has very picky ram timings. Hence this kingston was one of few to work. I hardly spent any money on this thing.

  • edge program huh? ill have to look into that, good job on the build btw. ill be posting on the next build i do should be up in the next week, check it out.

  • Yeah I will for sure, ill sub so i can keep up to date!

  • nice

  • Nice

  • nice job man check it out please
