  • I have commented before but.... I could listen to this every day for the rest of my life! Great version of the song!

  • Fantastic version of this song -- very different then Jimmy Martin for sure but wonderful in its own right. many stars!

  • Very nice. I'm Michael Hearne's brother and good friends of Cary and Susan Taylor. I hope to catch you all next time you are close to the midlands of SC. Thanks for the post.

  • It's easy to be overshadowed by robert's guitar playing, but you are quite a player yourself, Wil. What a lovely song and arrangement. I hope I can see you both perform in NC some time. Unfortunately, I can never make to Merlefest! Where is your schedule posted?

  • Wil, this is Joe from Wheeling. I love this song. This is just an incredible rendition and I love both yours and Robert's playing on this. Sooo beautiful. Very glad that I had the privilege of seeing you LIVE!! Best wishes.

  • Listen to that violin! Wow. How can Mr. Bowlin be a master at both violin and guitar?

  • you should here his mandolin...

  • he's brilliant.

  • Perfect!!!!

  • You know how to warm a heart. So beautiful to listen to. I love your sound and simple settings. You make it so easy to fall in love with. It's like we are in your living room with you. Joe S

  • Wil and Robert. Thank you guys for your beautiful music.

  • Wil and Robert:

Bravo! every note of this performance is played and sung exquisitely. I just downloaded it on iTunes.

Looks like you read the comments and chime in from time to time. I would love to know what tuning your D-18 is in for this. Is it open D or an Open G? It sounds the way ana coustic should sound -- nice and dry and woody and resonant.

Thanks for the music, which is redemptive!

  • hi there,

It's a D-21 that I am playing, and I have it in open G, but capoed up to B so I can sing it. Glad you like the sound of it- I like woody old beatup guitars.

  • You truly have the voice of an angel. Your music is so special. I have been a fan since my John A Logan College days. Your music's gotten me through a lot of tough times, and you only become better as time goes by. Thanks for posting this gem. I have it on CD as well, and it's one of my favorite cuts. Bravo.

  • Very soothing and enjoyable. A beautiful song and performance. *****

  • Wil, Aonther beautifully played song by the two of you. I love the accoustics and down home country feeling in these songs. Do you have a website to order CD's? Aspenglow Always, TB

  • guitar chords and lyrics for this tune would be great wil! your songs really are greatly written in an old fashioned sense! too bad more people dont pick up on your sound!!!

  • I wrote this on another post of this video but since you are looking at the comments to this one I thought I would share again.

WOW doesn't do this justice... That was so beautiful I can't imagine why that wasn't how it was intended in the first place. Great arrangement. 5 *****

  • yeah, Sunny Side is available on my Turning of a Century CD, with a long full band jam. Thanks!

  • I live in the U.K. can i get it via you???

  • Lovely!

  • Enjoyed very much***** Thank you for posting.

  • excellent! simple yet elequent. very sweet. Regards Gary

  • Beautiful...

  • That is a great arrangement. Did you use standard tuning on the guitar?

  • No, I use an open G tuning, kind of like a banjo, but capoed up to the 4th fret (B). Some fiddle players hate that, but Robert gets around in B pretty well! I don't use a pick here, just fingers.

  • This is delightful! I had to drag my upright bass in here and play along. Bravo!

  • I think that you would be perfect for Austin City Limits. You two are so very talented and gifted. You don't know how much America needs to hear these songs and sounds now. To me this is a true reflection on the pioneering spirit. God Bless.

  • Do you know the producer? ha. Get us on, !!
