That song was co-written, and they both felt like making their own versions of it. She made the album 'Teenage Whore' with her band hole before she even met Kurt, and it's fucking badass. The next one she made was 'Live Through This', that she wrote ALL ON HER OWN. Kurt was around to do some backing vocals on some of the demos, but that's it. Kurt was alive when Nirvana played it, you know.

Listen to her band, Hole's album called 'Live Through This', it's one of the best albums I ever heard. Hell, Kurt even sang on some of the demos. (He didn't write any of the songs though)

That song was co-written, and they both felt like making their own versions of it. She made the album 'Teenage Whore' with her band hole before she even met Kurt, and it's fucking badass. The next one she made was 'Live Through This', that she wrote ALL ON HER OWN. Kurt was around to do some backing vocals on some of the demos, but that's it. Kurt was alive when Nirvana played it, you know.

Speak for yourself. She didn't treat Cobain badly in any way, or her family or friends. I don't know where you got that from. And as for after Cobain's death, she just seemed to deal with it by numbing it out with drugs, which can obviously mess with your behavior. I'll admit that I like Courtney's work, but at least I'm looking into both sides of the story rather than one.

Nirvana will always be known as a better band in general, just becuase of who they are an what they did. they had a huge impact on this fuckin country, an if it were not for Kurt, Dave an Krist... music wouldnt be what it is today. Kurt dying, honestly opened up a huge door for Dave cause he learned so much from Kurt an he made some killer music, it gave Dave the oppertunity to be the front man an he was no longer just a drummer for the band Nirvana. He started fresh an made his own sick style.

i dont think you understand what makes alternative... Alternative is a bunch of types of music thrown into one, AND Grunge is most 100% apart of it. you can have a Grungier style alternative band, to somethin like a more positive style alternative band. WORD.

In Utero is the perfect album if your a true Nirvana fan...

@mgnewageD479 all three albums were certainly not 'grunge', however you want to qualify that nebulous label. bleach was harsh and less pop-influenced, as kurt felt pressure to cater to the seattle scene. but i wouldn't even say that album is the best example of grunge. mudhoney's early stuff better exemplifies that label. nirvana songs are varied. polly, negative creep and come as you are could practically be three different bands. second, the ability to play more genres does not mean 'quality'.
