  • that's great thanks denny!! I hope it helps too....the female is still too young yet but I'll let you know if we succeed. thanks again

  • i think that my frogs will be breeding soon....but tell me, i know the tadpoles need warmer water than the parents so when do you transfer them? as eggs....or once they've hatched? cuz i also know the adults might eat the eggs so how do you transfer them? Have you had any success with breeding acfs in the past? Lemme know ;)

  • I placed parent frogs in breeder tank.Removing mom an dad after they were done. Then you can place heater in the tank raising temp slowly to 79 deg over a week time.Wait a week or two before feeding. When the yellow on there tummy is gone it's time to feed them.Hope this helps you out.

  • cool video! so are the eggs not fertilized because you have no male?

  • The Male fertilizes the eggs as they come out. when you watch a video of them performing the same act and she releases the eggs, thats when he fertilizes them.

  • hey do thay lay eggs even when there is no males.

  • yes,I have a video of a female lying eggs without a male attached to her.

  • What season do they lay eggs??

  • spring and fall. But they can breed anytime. They breed about four times a year. Thanks for comment!

  • Thanks, First you need two tanks. One warm water between 24-26 Celsius or 75-80 Fahrenheit. And a cold water tank at room temperature. Take frogs from warmed home tank and place them in the cold water tank. Keep the lights off in the cold tank. Good luck too you! Thanks for great comment.

  • Hi how what conditions do you need for sucessful breeding we have 4 they practice! a lot but never any eggs good vids keep up the good work

  • Oh my gosh! Look at all the tiny eggs! thanks for posting all these vids about your frogs! Cool stuff!

  • Thanks for being so kind! We enjoy haveing them too, look for more soon!

  • do the eggs ever get aten or smashed by the parent frogs?

  • Yes some do get eaten and smashed. I removed the adults right away. Only a small amount were lost. Thanks for the comment!

  • Wow... I didnt know that a frog can have that many eggs.

    WOW!

  • They can have up to 2000 eggs each time. And they breed up to four times a year. Do the math that's a lot of frogs(lol). Thanks for comment.

  • Do all the eggs survive though? Because from watching your other videos, there seemed to be a lot less frogs than there were eggs.

  • You will lose 30% with birth defects. I also weeded out the weak. That way only the strong are going to the pet shop. A hard choice but the right one for the frogs.

  • wow, a lot

  • Yeah ended up with hundreds of little froggys.

  • wow

  • Thanks!

  • Congrats!

  • Thanks, they are almost froglets now.

  • If they make it to frogs most will be given away.
