Now I don't pretend to know for sure if any megaladon still exist, but what I do know is that there is in fact a very plentiful food source for megaladons to eat that up until 150/200 years ago, scientists also thought didn't exist/was extinct and that animal was the KRAKEN/GIANT SQUID. For many centuries scientists thought that the giant squid/kraken was legend or it was extinct but now we know they exist in plentiful numbers, they are just really deep in the ocean and it is hard to get to em.

Until today there has not been found a single fresh tooth from a megalodon.

If a population of megalodon existed, they would shed tens or hundrets of thousands of teeth each year.

So basically until someone sheds a tooth, or even better a fresh carcass, it is propably best to consider them extinct.

I would love to believe they still exist, humans haven't even explored 1% of the Ocean yet, but on the other hand a 50 - 60ft Shark isn't exactly hard to spot, so if it does still exist im fairly sure it would have been discovered already. I hope in wrong though.

The giant squid does exist and they live far down in the ocean like most people say where the Megaladon would live there like a 75% chance they would still be alive to this. Yeah they do bring the teeth up. But there has only been a few hundred they have found. If most of the teeth came up, there would be hundreds of thousands of teeth if they all died out. So there must be some still alive. But we just haven't gone far enough down in the ocean to check. Remember that only 5% of the ocean has only been discovered. The other 95% is a lot we have to recover. If we discovered all 100%, who knows what else we would find.

Well great whites are about 12 or 14 ft long, about the size of a speed boat. And a Megalodon is like 60 - 70 ft long, and the megalodons teethy are about 1 ft longwher a great white is about 4 in - 6 in long. And Megalodons are ancestors of the great white, but alot of scientist still think the megalodons still live today, and people who know a crap load about sharks, like me.
