so this is not real painting but only a pastiche of drawing and some blocking in areas...effective but for a media or mixed media ...illustration...well the results are nice...but not what i thought it was..hmm..well nothing more here...good stuff though...really graphically strong...you seem to also use glazes of oils over the acrylics...I would be worried about longevity..but probably longer than any of will live.
In the part of the video when you start to paint on the drawing after you sprayed it with workable fixative, are you turp or linseed oil and does either one help with getting the transparent look when you rub it with the cloth?
You have a wonderful talent. Thank you for this. Watching you paint brings me peace. And I know what you mean about being inspired mid-painting. That's my favorite thing about when I paint, being in that moment. This is great I can't wait to see what else you have

Ha ha! I saw your other posts before this one...I just asked you a question on #3 and this whole vid answered my questions. Thank you for sharing your gifts and long hours of dedication.
how did you use the gesso and oil can you post a small painting in regular stream so we can see it from the begining and also so we can see your painting techniques
was that a paiste alpha you used for the circle stencil? you nearly dropped it and could have cracked it at that angle. (oh the shame of it all! ) lol.
anyway...this is another awesome piece from you...i love it!
...but i do like it better the way you painted it (portrait) instead of landscape.
oh, and 10 points for the use of the old mahl stick, mate!
Do you also spray the fixative on before drawing on the acrylic paint?
I like that you don't paint an unnecessarily thick coat of paint. A lot of painters where I'm from cover the canvas with half an inch of paint, I can't stand it.
Wowowowowow, I loved watching this so much. It was really a wonderful inspiration and the painting turned out beautifully. I agree - the horizontal is better.
WOW! I REALLY enjoyed watching you create this wonderful masterpiece from a simple photograph! I am so inspired by your work and your technique. It's a fabulous painting. I suppose you could hang it any way you like, or leave that option open for the owner of the piece. Are you going to sell it? By the way I love your hat! ~Peace and Love
AWESOME! Thank you some much for doing this....it's SO inspirational! I love your work and I agree the painting looks better horizontal. The bubbles are like....dreams! LOL! Excellent!
I just found ur videos recently, and watched ALL of them... <3 it! Was sad to see you had left YouTube, but a pleasant surprise to see a new vid in my "subscriptions" box just now. Please, keep going! I'm learning so much from you, and I have a total ART-crush on you... =)

@jetsonjoe I think your definition of "real painting" is rather limited and archaic, to be perfectly honest.
