shadows fall is one of the few bands that hasnt made a single bad album. Sure their newer stuff inst as old school melodic death metal, but it still is the same formula. Of one blood, and the art of balance and incredible gothensburg-like albums, like in flames or dark tranquilllity.

They are a very technical band thats not sloppy at all. The new album was not on century media it was on a major label. The production value is better and that is why it sounds crisper, but at the same time the major label did take them away from thier old sound.

Ill agree to some extent. First thing the old stuff was just hard hitting in your face fuck you metal. The new stuff is amazing though too. Shadows Fall went mainstream for threads only to appeal to a wider audience as a start off for the major label. From my understanding now that they have more fans they are going back to their old style. New album should be sick though.
