Can you switch between 1st- and 3rd-person while driving or do they limit you to driving 3rd-person with Halo style controls? Personally, I'd prefer to drive 1st-person with HL2 style controls. Better yet, have the option to switch between 1st- and 3rd-person, either way using HL2 style controls (as per the Oblivion Lost mod for STALKER). Also, I like how the revolver is like a "Wasteland Webley" (functionally similar to the Bioshock top-break revolver which is based on a British Webley).

It's too bad you can't pick up and use one of those sickle swords. Do they only let you fire double-shots out of that hogleg? No way a person can do that in real life while holding it like a pistol. It would fly out yer hands, yo! Fallout 3 and New Vegas get that wrong too. STALKER gets it right. It's better to fire two fast consecutive shots rather than one double-shot. It's fine if you have the option to do either, but the player shouldn't be limited to double-shots only.

It did get slightly painful watching you aim. I'm assuming you get better because you already have part 12 up. Also a mouse is better, but if you turn the sensitivity down you should be O.K with the controller. Then you could always turn the sensitivity up once you get comfortable on a lower level. As it stands the jerkiness of some of your shots just screams oversensitivity.

While I personally love having a lot of weapon variety I think its a good thing this game doesn't.

Otherwise he would somehow end up using the weakest weapons and mods. At least in this case he is always gonna be using something that is good.

The feels kinda meh. The enemies are random orks which are too fast for those shitty weapons you're given. The post apocalyptic scenario is interesting, but having watched Dead Island, i cant sit through another game where people ask you to get supplies, insulin, etc and you have to go fetch.

Fair enough, but besides that, the weapons seem too weak for some reason. Like they dont deal too much damage.

Anyhow, I understand this game has a lot of racing and quests and stuff so it might pick up later on, but right now it feels kind of boring. I have to say though, it feels like a Terran planet. God, imagine a game like that, being a terran soldier wiping out zerg colonies on your Arkturus forsaken planet.

Head shot should be more effective. Bad physics and hit recoc.  A foot should not be the same 3 shots as the head. I'm glad you bought this so I don't have to. It encourages spray and pray type play and doesn't reward skill

Just a heads up, the game has horrible optimization on PC, and in your first video is an example of the poor texture pop-in the PC version has.

Check the steam forums, everyone is crying about it, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Btw, do you have an NVidia or ATI card? Its mostly happening to ATI users.
