  • Does she swallow

  • Very well expressed! The one thing that may get everyone into trouble is that the Creator's point of view is somehow overlooked, and in fact it's as if He's not even involved. Asherah/Ishtar/Isis/Eostre etc., is also involved in the "tree" and "wreath" emblems, the steeples, witch hats, and obelisks. All false worship has elements of a sexual nature, further contaminating the lives of all of us. Dt. chapters 12, 18, and 31 clearly give a different perspective on all Pagan behavior.

  • when I learned English, I was wondering what the word Easter had to do with "Paque" or passover. Basically, only english and german language use the word easter, all other language use the word that comes from Pascha or passover. Also, christianity was there before the english language, so the argument with "sun" and "son" is just a coincidence, in latin sun is sol and son is filius. Also, bunny and eggs are not part of christian tradition, they are as you said, pagan symbols

  • @jeffinou65 yes i know it's a coincidence .. i thought it was ironic XD i also simply found it interesting that many christian people celebrate these traditions even though they were pagan. and i know many christian people who (seriously) thought they were christian traditions. I just wanted to clear that up :)

  • @BreezyRree yes! I agree its important to learn about that stuff, like what is christian/non-christian, where does stuff come from. history is really interresting.

I also beleive that we don't need to wait for easter to eat chocolate, because chocolate is awesome.

  • @BreezyRree yes! I agree its important to know where stuff come from and also knowing what is christian/non-christian in all the feast day. also I think history is just really interresting and its fun to learn how things happened.

Also I don't know why we should make Easter a special day for chocolate. chocolate is just awesome and so good!!!

  • If any of these holidays were in the Bible it might be a valid point. Pagan Rome couldn't stomp out Christianity so the adopted the Christian name blended paganism with Christianity so the pagans wouldn't get their panties in a bunch. That's why the holidays are celebrated when they are. Because man made it that way. Has absolutely nothing to do with Biblical Christianity so using this argument to discredit Christianity is completely invalid. Happy Resurrection Day-ish

  • Just an fyi 4 u: Not all "christians" observe Christmas & Easter, but keep the same Holy Days & Sabbath that Jesus Himself & His disciples observed, which are listed in Leviticus 23 in the Bible. Maybe you already knew that, but just thought I'd mention it. :)

  • @sybeve Thanks ... I did know that, but insightful and meaningful feedback is always appreciated :)

  • Everybody in my eyes at least should be able to have a fun time around easter and share good food and friendship.

  • @natatat93 Jesus was taken down from the cross because it was Jewish custom not allow bodies to remain on the crosses over Passover.

  • So what are you discrediting Easter? Christianity blossomed in regions where pagan practices led the primitive Christians to make over some pagan holidays and practices so they could avoid troubles. By doing that they did not invalidate Christian beliefs, even though you seem to think so. You don't have to invalidate Christianity to validate your own beliefs or lack of them.

  • @oriolesfan61 Pagan beliefs were around thousands of years before Christianity rose, and I find the coincidences between the traditions interesting. That's all I'm saying. I like history and truth. You can take what you want from that :)

  • love the background music!!!

question for you: do u find it wired that Jesus was taken down from the cross? werent ppl usually left on crosses to be eaten by birds and decompose?

that was just something that came to mind this morning :P

    o and i love you ...
