Sounds good. Is that the GSRMZO model ? I saw it on GC website for $ 179.99. Also, CG has a pack with little amp, strap, etc. with model lJMB15 for $ 199.99. Do you happen to know if the quality of the 1JMB15 is very inferior to the GSRMZO ? I want to buy a low end short scale, but don't want a piece of junk. Any bass players out there with any info. would be great. Thanks.
@ahdowns Not sure if the one with the bundle is inferior but yes this is the GSRM20 model. It's the best bass for the money, quality is not bad at all. Of course everyone always wants better after so long but this bass is still fun to play and worthwhile. The IJMB15 looks like it doesn't have the bridge pickup? I don't think that'd be a big deal. That value pack seems worth it if you don't already have an amp. Good luck sir!
@Genkakuzai HI, I bought the GSRM20. There was very little in the way of reviews for the 1JMB15 and many favorable reviews for the GSRM20. Also, I liked the sound when you and some other people played and posted on you tube. Thanks again for your input, as it was very helpful.
do you think this bass is good enough for some simple recording? i am a guitarist and would like a real bass to record simple bass lines instead of using midi but I don't want to spend too much.
@redroverguy Hmmm.. I would say yes, I mean if you have the tone all the way up then you might get some extra noise but if your going for more general/muddled bass I think it should do the trick. I don't have any fancy equipment to record but I have a chord that plugs into my amp for headphones & then I have a double headed headphone cord I use to plug it into the headphone jack on my computer, lol I can still get some quality recordin' through that so you should be good to go!
@redroverguy No problem, I'll put something up tomorrow hopefully. If not, I apologize but I will go for having an upload by 6 o'clock! Til then, take care!
@8trackers It's worth the money, especially if you're a starter. I want a new bass but I'm still not good enough for one yet haha! There's no going wrong with the Mikro though, it's simple & easy to play.
@InAGaddaDaVida29 If you're beginning or just want a short-scale bass yes indeed! Otherwise, if you've got more than $169.99 with plenty to spare than I'd recommend getting something that you'd be content with for life which is usually a bass costing near if not more than $1000. But yes, its got everything you need to learn what the bass is all about. It's my first bass and I don't plan on buying a new one for a while, had it for over a year. Lastly, it's well built & delivers for the money!
@Genkakuzai i own one and what i did was put some heavy gauge electric guitar strings on it and tune it two and a half steps down from regular tuning. its an awsome bass, just wish i got the pink on with sparkles hahaha
next time don't put effects LOL it makes me littlebit dizzy because of the colors hahaha

@The000Roy No sir, not on this one at least. As far as I can tell I just tune it to standard and that's it!
