It's really sad we lost this great sire of sire's. But few could argue that Sadler's Wells had an extremely long life. There's no doubt in my mind that he's one of the most influential turf sires in the history of the sport. Just for the Coolmore breeding shed alone, Sadler's Wells has sired Montjeu, High Chaparral, and the great Galileo. Who's become arguably the most successful sire in the breeding industry now himself. The legacy of these 3 great horses alone makes him 1 of the best ever, IMO

@sahidmiah. He died in April age 30! He was a lovely. I saw Mtoto the year before he died too, and he looked a bit ribby. These old fellas all seem to go like that eventually.
