The American Red Cross discriminates against gay people giving blood. By restricting 10% of the population out of hand, they are only hurting their own cause. All blood is tested for HIV, so this policy is small-minded.
In a fight against Leukemia, it is absolutley amazing how much blood is used... If people could only get a small idea of how important blood transfusions are for so many patients, there would likely never be shortages...
