Even when her voice wasn't what it used to be she can still sing and move around and dance. Too many artists today give a good performance but can't sing. They lip sing in order to dance. Grew up with whitney in the 80s, she was only 3 years older then me! So sad :( I'll miss my Queen of Pop! A beautiful person and legendary singer of all time. Sadly, just like Michael, with Whitney they had half attempted to clean her and proceeded to push her out on anti-anxiety meds and clear her debts immediately with lackluster promotion and tours that couldn't even complete Europe. Britney's handlers did the same thing in 09 but made sure she was never ever left alone for 2 years... poor Whitney.
Three years ago I decided not to attend this performance because I couldn't afford the train fare and was starting my first day of college classes for the semester. I regret not going less now to look back at this. The album and this single were and are hot, but her voice and performance here are tragic. No wonder the reviews of the 2010 tour were so critical. Still, I would have paid good money had the tour made it to the US to go see her, just because I loved her so much, as I always will.

I'm in the medical field and am around this 24/7 so i know all too well as addictions consume people, . Only true fans have unconditional love for their Stars! Her death was but the culmination of a painfully slow tragedy that took well over a decade to unfold... first the marriage to Bobby Brown, then the drugs, then she lost her singing ability, and yesterday she lost her life. What a total shame.

Ugh i'm personally a little disappointed in why she did drugs in the first place she should have known that all those drugs would cause her voice to have gone it's no secret. She hardly sang at all and i wouldn't her "dancing" the reason i've seen much more intense dancing with singers who are totally able to keep going. however she seemed out of shape as well so thats probably why. I still think though that just a couple more years and she'll have something back.
i heard about this and it's not as bad a performance as the person made out seeing it myself.it's okay. not terrible. looks like she went the way of maria callas. she quit the required daily training of her voice for years. now her instrument has naturally faded and blunted from the long hiatus. it's like being an athlete. if the muscles are not trainined to stay in that top condition they just wither and you can't ever get it back. it's not something you just pick up where you left off.

She was just on the X Factor in the UK and was VERY wierd. She walked awkwardly, her dress broke, and when interviewed her eyes were distracted, and she couldn't concentrate on the questions asked. I can't help but notice that 'The Voice' is absent. The backing singers are doing most of the singing. I realise she is 'in the moment' and wants the crowd to join in but this was her big comeback and she needs to get her voice back in order because when it's not 'tired' it's one of the best voices in the world EVER. At the moment she sounds like mary J blige.
Her voice has suffered from what she did, she no longer has it like she used to...I will say this, she can sing but she will NEVER be the Whitney Houston with the booming voice that anytime she sang you could feel it in the pit of your stomach because it was just that good!

Wow. What happened Whitney? Get back on the crack! (at least she can feel and sing the music on it, and that's it!) ...people have the audacity to trash Mariah Carey?! At least Mariah didn't turn into a junkie and lose her voice. The song is pretty weak and meaningless, and her voice is shaky, weak, and nervous, as well as cracking. Off pitch. No stamina, just trying to brush it off by "letting" the crowd sing the song, and dancing around like a buffoon. Not impressed at all. Whitney lost it!

Ugh i'm personally a little disappointed in why she did drugs in the first place she should have known that all those drugs would cause her voice to have gone it's no secret. She hardly sang at all and i wouldn't her "dancing" the reason i've seen much more intense dancing with singers who are totally able to keep going. however she seemed out of shape as well so thats probably why. I still think though that just a couple more years and she'll have something back.

i heard about this and it's not as bad a performance as the person made out seeing it myself.it's okay. not terrible. looks like she went the way of maria callas. she quit the required daily training of her voice for years. now her instrument has naturally faded and blunted from the long hiatus. it's like being an athlete. if the muscles are not trainined to stay in that top condition they just wither and you can't ever get it back. it's not something you just pick up where you left off.

She was just on the X Factor in the UK and was VERY wierd. She walked awkwardly, her dress broke, and when interviewed her eyes were distracted, and she couldn't concentrate on the questions asked. Perhaps it would have been better if she performed in the morning ........... before she needed to calm her nerves.

Her new album is simply amazing...There have been other artist who have lost their voices (many other so called "divas") and they didn't admit or say the reason why that happened. I can't help but notice that 'The Voice' is absent. The backing singers are doing most of the singing. I realise she is 'in the moment' and wants the crowd to join in but this was her big comeback and she needs to get her voice back in order because when it's not 'tired' it's one of the best voices in the world EVER. i think she sounds pretty good at the beginning of the song she just cannot hold onto her voice throughout the whole song. I Bet at the right time in good circumstances (not just after having a two hour interview with oprah) that Whitney will be able too have an excellent performance!
