You don't really learn much from these because they haven't got the shape of a normal kit, you need the cymbals and the toms to be far apart - that's half the skill of playing, to be able to manouver quickly around the kit.

well the only reason (i can think of) than anyone would get an electric kit for, is college/university/apartments. most places wont let you have an acoustic kit.
