heh.. i messed up on my placement when I did this one. So I filled the center with lv 3 Meteors and somehow ended up with a gold.

In addition wave 21's five flying groups would not go down that quickly in story mode using this setup. This must have been "relaxed" mode, not story.

this setup would still work though. I used a similar maze of cannons to get 96,356 on this stage in story mode. without them ever touching a core

it is mainly cannons but you can do this with guns or whatever you like.

but without cannons you need more missile power.
