@ThinkPureTruth Deism isn't a religion, it is a philosophy of religion...there are no churches, there are no books, there are no holidays, there are no requirements, there are no unique days of the week. There is only you, what you can observe and the understanding that though what can be observed can establish a conclusion of one's observations. Where you manage to derive Hebrew and/or Christian ideology from that...I may need some help correlating thusly. :/
The Venus project should be called the Lucifer Project. Then at least it would be more honest to it's purpose and a Christian may want the second coming but does that mean they should also hop on board with something they were warned about?
@DeistReality how can just one person who believes in Christ who is just stating an opinion disgrace the character of anything? I have the right to my opinion, I have the right to change my mind, just as you do. And you are free to make a video because of our constitution. Better hurry you may not have that freedom much longer.
I was just saying that you've missed the mark and have fallen short from the glory of God. The glory of God being absolute truth. Sin is just another word for mistake and mistakes teach us how to get it right. I can help you break free from this devil thing ( that's disgraceful to God, because God wouldn't make such a thing) that clouds your mind with this "original sin complex" of yours.
@DeistReality You can teach me? Who are you to know the mind of God? My teacher is Christ. You are obviously full of pride and you obviously have an emotional investment in being right. I do not wish you any ill will. I stated my opinion and now I am done with this back and forth.
Yes I do have an "emotional investment in being right",and when I'm wrong its important for me to know when I am so that I can change my epistemology. The beautiful side of being a "pure" Deist is that I have the freedom to change my mind.
I never said that I "know the mind of God". I said "The glory of God being absolute truth". devils, and virgin births go against the laws of nature and fall short from the glory of God,or absolute truth. Peace to you as well.
@DeistReality What the heck do you expect her to say DR? You speak as a part Hebrew person and part Christian person. A double-minded man is unstable in ALL HIS WAYS!!! As a true and pure deist, your language needs to be totally unique. It's like all the religions that copied the Vedic Scriptures. It's like the faith of Islam bouncing off the info from the Old Testament and New Testament. Nothing really original. To me, the God in Deism came well before all these religions. They copied that!!
@DeistReality oh, and you say I have a sinful thought? LOL, what are you the thought police going to punish me by making a video because I dared to have an opinion different then yours. Funny just less then a month ago I thought very much the same as you. Although I had more patience and tolerance to those with a different opinion then my own as long as I was not being forced to believe and think as they do. I still believe this.
I can definitely relate the general message of DeistReality, but the argument (below) about God vs. No God (Atheism) illustrates the flaw in "classical Deism". Deism shares the same general concept of the nature of God with classical Theism. The question is not "does God exist"- more accurately, the question becomes "What KIND of God do you believe in?" I believe that the true nature of what we call "God" differs significantly from the "theistic" conception. Explore the "nature of God" question.
@lcopling I hate to oversimplify, but maybe it's just all made up, and the true nature of reality transcends all conceptual fabrication. In that case it doesn't matter if there is a God or not, because without proof we are left with the abstract and intangible cop out of "faith."and that is ultimately useless. The universe is naturally without morality,it is brutal and unjust and we are supposed to believe an afterlife will be any different? Religion was invented so the poor don't kill the rich.
if we where to cut off all oil trade and stop pumping the things that are killing us the world could live off the oil we have saved up to survive intill we can find other forms of energy we have it stored in huge storage tanks we could do this we need help
Hey Gyohdon, you're my proof. You and your nasty mouth that is usually associated with your faith (Atheism) are the living proof of an Eternal Life Force that the billions of us rightly honor with the sacred title of God.
If God is in fact real then to not believe is a faith that God is not real. If I tell you that I have a hairless cat and you say that I don't, then this is your faith that I don't have a hairless cat. Atheism is the religion of denial that propagates the god that is'nt. By the way the title Atheism is the wrong work to describe the non belief in a Deity.
I realize that it's irritating for you to hear someone talking about God as an absolute. I don't wish to push my bleif in God on anyone however God will be a powerful factor in this Movment in many different ways.
One of the biggest is the many people who we'll need to get on board that believe in a Deity. If they think of it as just an Atheist Movement they won't even want to take the time to enter the front door of important information that we have to offer.
@DeistReality If they think of us as an Atheist Movement, then they haven't researched us at all and they themselves have judged us without even knowing anything.
People have stereotypical preconceived notions of Atheist just as the Atheist has stereotypical preconceived notions towards someone of the Abrahamic faiths. We'll need these people and most of them wouldn't want to deal with an Atheist organization because many Atheist's stay true to the preconceived notion such as your nasty tune that seems to be a prerequisite of your faith.
We can help it,and it's not their fault. Get over the God word and when you hear it change it to Life.
Is there anything more sick that a shouty preacher claiming that some form of science or technology is made by a middle easten fire god, Sir you should take down this video and never post again you are a fraud. The Fire God on high has been nothing but a product to keep us sad and stupid nothing more, to claim that god wishes utopia must mean you havent any understanding of the kingdom of heaven, a dictatorship were the mearest questioning you would be flung in the lake of fire and damed.
I like what you have to say and agree with everything. The only thing that puzzled me is at the end when you gave the Satan horn wave like our evil politicians do. Any explanation for that?
I am a member of a group on the internet called spiritual atheists---and I am a member of many atheist groups---because I have seen how many Christians do not practice the teachings of Jesus---nor do they cherish the earth----most rich capitalists claim to be all mighty Christians---so atheist groups believe that most structured religion does an extreem amount of damage to our ability to love one another by promoting our differences---by promoting judgement---by their concept of sin-Loved this!!
I am not sure if its just a cultural or sociological thing.... but lets remember the Rockefellers and the Chase family all worked towards making life better for their progeny... Its not making the world better for YOUR children... rather than viewing the world as such symbiosis.. and realizing the end that we are all connected.... we are all the same creature....
I love everything about the Venus Project, but the idea of a supercomputer controlling all the resources and everything else troubles me deeply because technology can be easily manipulated and whose to say someone wont use the technology put in place at the time to enslave everyone once again.
@LibertarianThinker The "supercomputer" will not "controlling all the resources and everything else" this is your assumption. It coordinates a balance between production and distribution, and operates to maintain a balanced-load economy. For example, with electrical sensors extended into the agricultural region, computerized systems would manage and control agriculture by monitoring the water table, insects, pests, plant diseases, soil nutrients, and so forth.
@milanstoyanov Agreed, without sufficiently providing adequate reclaimation - consumerism WILL deplete our required, natural, life-sustaining resources. Our population also only increases - this will only cause more unemployment and a greater fiscal burden on governmental support functions. The current established paradigm cannot sustain itself...a collapse is inevitable. 'Armageddon' shall be ordained by 'God' for that level of destruction has only be wrought by the hands of mankind...
@milanstoyanov Well I am by no means supporting the system we have today were people are essentially sold into monetary slavery, but I don't understand how people would want to put there faith in a supercomputer to manage everything. Like I said before who is to say that someone wouldn't try to manipulate the computer in some way to benefit themselves.
@LibertarianThinker It won't be appending 'faith in a system'...no one is going to be worshipping the almighty hard drive for spiritual well-being. The computer has, and always will be, nothing but a tool which will be assigned to tabulate resources. If the data uploaded to the computer is factual, the computer won't abuse the information. If false information is uploaded, multiple readings can insure accuracy...if this happens repeatively, the individual responsible will have to answer for it.
@mdlittle5466 and again I wasn't implying that idk why you guys can't understand this, Computers can be manipulated just like people can be except way easier who is to say that someone wont mess with the this so called super computer to benefit themselves.
@LibertarianThinker You're still thinking in the terms of monetary acquisition...once everything is established as a resource worth $0 then anyone seeking to horde resources is doing nothing but wasting their time. What's the worst thing that could possibly happen?...someone has an excessive amount of a particular resource sent to one location?...okay, that's easily traceable and when the resources are needed somewhere else, those resources can be rerouted. I'm not seeing a problem...
@mdlittle5466 Thank you finally someone has answered me lol, but ya I you make a valid point I think once the system has been established for awhile with people growing up in said system it could potentially eliminate the risk of "hoarders". The transition to a new system though would be quite a hill to clime especially with how people are these days.
@LibertarianThinker Agreed, it's going to take quite a bit of educating out there...some are so engrained in the belief that the monetary system can't fail that they'll resist the transition with everything they have even if they are shown beyond reckoning that the system they seek to support is collapsing. We will have to acknowledge that there are so that are simply not ready to grow up...awareness of this will help preparing for individuals such as that. May the transition occur smoothly...
@LibertarianThinker There is one thing that many people dont understand, and it is called, sientific approach. When there is problem in the society, like the problem you point out "who is to say that someone wouldn't try to manipulate the computer in some way to benefit themselves." which is very relevent question of yours,we do not need to rely to the inefficient opinion of political liders. We must ANALYSE the problem.I will continiuse in my next comment.. there is no sighns enought left.
@LibertarianThinker ...continuing...We must ANALYSE the problem scientifically and find the most intelligent and humane way of resolve that problem.Resource Based Economy is not ideology or some fixed view/notion for the world,it rely absoluty on scientific approach.Let me g back to your example. If there is seen such aberrant behaviour, there is reason for that, and you must examine the culture and environment that person is grown up in,find the reason for that behaviour and change the enviremont.
@LibertarianThinker And there is more than one way to resolve problems, you can do it absolutly technically with servers at many different parts of the world,or with different and many protections like firewalls,or like the wikipedia`s model where are many voulentiers working to maintein the site/system correct. The technical resolvs for the problems we have and we will have are many.
My thanks, Deist Reality...I have not had the opportunity to do any extensive research regarding the Venus Project along with the Zeitgeist Movement. My thanks again, this will prove most interesting...
