I will never waste my money on this kind of food. These kind of foods are so pretentious to me.

that is beautiful you should frame it and put it on the wall... i just hate the fact that people pay hundreds of dollars just to eat something like that, its artistic yeh no doubt and top quality ingredients of food, this is just one way to take money out of rich people, which is good because they too wealthy, but even if im rich i wouldn't be bother eating this shit..i mean just imagine how small quantity of food that is, im not fat by the way who eat only junk food and shit im 73kg

Fine cuisine isnt about being really full. Fine cuisine is about the experience, the symphony of flavors, the textures, the colors, the quality, the beauty. Its about tasting something you dont find everywhere and sampling different experiences. It doesnt only show a chefs cooking skills, but his ability to surprise you with combination or hidden gems.

Thats y I eat fine cuisine. Granted I cant afford to do it once a week or even once a month, but I still know y I do it

@fromRIOcity you eat food just to fill your stomach up, but other people go eat those food for experience and taste. if you think that way you would understand why those foods with so smaller portion than mcdonalds cost so much more.

I cant understand why all this fancy food looks good. looks more like art that food. I want a real meal. Proper food. Not little tasters. But thats just me and my opinion :) Guess im a peasant ^^

@gilgammesh1 Yes, I agree. At high end culinary restaurants, the purpose of having a meal is less about filling one's stomach and more about experiencing the chef's mastery of taste, smell, presentation etc just like how the purpose of attending an orchestra is to experience the musician's mastery of melodies, rhythm etc.

I believe this consumption of art - in high dining, music, literature, paintings, movies etc is just as filling as food. But it feed the soul, not the stomach.

@sever3d i think coriander leaf or mint leaf. you cant really tell because you cant see the actual leaf properly.

@sever3d it's chervil.  looks like parsley/coriander but much smaller. it's a common garnish for seafood dishes.
