its very important that you can beatmatch so just keep practacing man then work on your scrathing cause you want to be able to scratch and lead it into your mixes
bro if this video was made after 4 monthes practice then its not bad at all...
ur not mixxing toooooo well but once again for 4 monthes, pretty good!
keep in mind that if you dont know how to scratch WELL, too much is ugly, so reduce ur scratching lool... or at least lower the volume of the side ur scratching with.... bring up ur bass
knowing that to be able to use serato with cdj you have to use the time coded cd, my question is, does the master tempo feature on the cdj800 work with serato timecoded cds?
The MT feature on the cdj's causes a really odd error when using the time coded vinyl or cds.. There is, however, a built in MT feature in serato... Works really really well, at least for my causes.
cdj's - 800 (pair) .. 1210's with m44-7 needles --1000.00 (roughly)... Pioneer djm 909 - 1100.00.. Serato Scratch LIve -- about 500.00... mac laptop --1400.00... damn!!! i never realized how much i put into this stuff!! and not including the time it took to load all my music and stuff on the laptop.. that was a pain in da AZZ!!!
I'm using the shure m44-7's with the tech headshells. They're great. i've never experienced skipping with them, but also i don't use them as rough as many others may.
not very long.. bout a few years... havn't really put that much time into it though.. I just got my first set of turntables about 4 months ago.. i was strickly a 'cd-dj' until then.
cool mix, first transition was nice.

thanx for posting ur video i was wondering how different are the scratching sounds between the serato records and the cdj
ffernandez16 4 years ago
They are, honestly, identical.. I haven't noticed any difference.. My latency is quite low on serato so it is very good..

Work on the levels, the scratching is too loud starting around the 3 min mark.

pretty cool, next thing you should do is work on looping other parts of beats, i like that though for a dude that hasn't been doing it for a while
