Flea isn't really overrated. Everybody in the 90s copied him and Les Claypool. He's a pioneer and innovator. Best bassist ever? Well that's unanswerable, but I'd argue that he's more musical than say Wooten, Clarke, or Berlin. Flea may not have technical chops like those guys, but he has taste far superior. Not knocking them, nor am I worshipping Flea, just saying that he deserves to be considered on of the elite bassists.
