See. I find this video very informative. Of course, it does not help that I am a christian, and know all of this, but it gives me a shape to mold when out and about spreading God's word n whatnot.
Yeah RS teachers never answer your questions. No-one can prove that God exists.
Also the argument about being Christian to get into heaven.. blah blah blah. I would so much rather be a muslim to get infinite virgins. Soooo much better than angels with a bunch of harps playing to you while you are dead.
RS teachers don;t answer because they need to stick to a syllabus and also because they probably don't know much. It is true no one can prove God exists but in the same way no on can prove He does not...which is the way with dark matter. You also don't understand the meaning of heaven, Christian or Muslim for that matter. If you really wanted to know though, you would google it...so I don't really feel obliged to explain.
Since i frequently have arguments in RS with Tris, i agree that God forgives everything, thus he will forgive me in saying that i am finding it difficult to find strong evidence for his existence. Therefore, i am thinking whether i should even bother arguing with my RS teacher and just save my voice until he comprehensively proves to me that God exists.
I've had this argument many times with my RS teacher; so what, if God does exist then he's all forgiving as the bible says and therefore will forgive me for my sin of not believing in him when I die and therefore let me into heaven. Anyway what's so special about heaven? imagine this: you die, you go to heaven; you're still dead! therefore you cant enjoy heaven because you're dead. So, ultimately, what is there to gain from believing in God? Just forget about him and enjoy what we have in life.
Actually, if you come to the conclusion that god does exist your next step should be to see what sort of god he/she/it is and if you find that it is the biblical God then you take the next step, which is to read it. The matter of salvation doesn't come from believing whether God exists...obviously it plays a part but salvation has to come through the faith in the sacrifice of Christ, that it accounts for you sin (rejection of God).
To be honest I have come to the conclusion that God doesn't exist so i'm stuck on step 1... I honestly don't really want salvation and I don't think that rejection of god is a sin, plainly because in my opinion he doesn't exist... I also don't have faith in the sacrifice of Christ and furthermore I believe that even if I did, It wouldn't account for my so called "sins" anyway... If God wants me to believe in him why doesn't he beam me up to heaven for a bit so we can have a little chat?
...did you really think i willingly watched this in my free time?!?! I was forced to watch this in an RS lesson at school. But really I think you're wasting your life believing in this... we only get one life... don't waste it worshipping something that probably doesn't exist.
Well, the point is you watched it so for that I am happy. Besides, from the sound of things you don't enjoy your RS lessons anyway so there isn't any real loss for you.
As for life...it really depends on how you see life. Probably doesn't exist? I wouldn't say so...either way, what if God does exist? then what?

PS...Bible speaks of a physical resurrection.

But as the video says, it's your choice.

I agree with tris, this video is trying to convert me with the use of black stickmen. Not amusing.
