  • It's true ..This is it the moment and yes so glad to have it

  • Who remembers Pete and Roger sittin on stage during concerts singing the end of this song forever. Miss those guys!

  • Love it.

  • It's not that they didn't like disco. This was written at the time that Disco was going into decline.

  • someone did not like the disco..... :)

  • .."now i walk with a man in my face....oooh....a woman in my hair..."

  • dbohnenk73 -

The Blonde WAS better, AND in the Early 70's Not by Much. My "TT" was a Pioneer PL12-D with a Shure V-15, Teac Cassette, Tandberg Reel to Reel, Pioneer Quad Reciever and Speakers, power/Watts were a bit light and yet it sounded great. Your "TT" was a THORENS, best there was til the Technics 1200.

  • Love the RAF Roundel - undefeated in two(2) great Wars. -S-

  • Love the RAF Roundel - undefeated in two(2) great Wars.

  • I was living in Nurnberg Germany when this album came out ...dealing 100's of key's of the best green hash in the world! And dating the hotest blond on the planet! lol I forgot and my stereo had a volume control about 5 inches in diameter you could only turn it to 1 or 2 lol...all tubes huge speakers ...almost 200+ pounds each playing The Who with a $275 cartridge on a Thorans turntable!!!!! I am sure though that the blond was at least as cool as the stereo

  • for me, this song exemplifies the who as the band. nothing else really sounds like this. distinctive and always worth listening to.

  • consistently underplayed song--- like Athena

  • I always felt that the guitar coda at 3:36 was meant to symbolize rock returning to it's roots. After the death of disco rock woul've become more blues-oriented again, but unfortunatley, that never happened.. I love how Townshend can convey a message through instrumentation. Brilliant songwriter.

  • 3:32....amazing

  • amazing.. how TIME-less this piece is.

  • to bad keith is RIP.soo amazing a talent he was

  • @grillalbrt and john.....

  • I don't even understand why there is a drummer argument. Obviously Keith Moon is unsurvivable in every aspect of drumming. I doubt Kenny and Zack think that they can somehow replace Keith. The fact is, they need a talented drummer, and Kenny and Zack are both talented individuals. They have the physical ability to drum the same beats as Keith, but not the mental capacity to bring what he brought to the music.

  • @environmentalist47 This is the feud:

Keith Moon is the best drummer for The Who ever. But he died. They had to find SOMEONE. Well, Kenny came along and filled in, but Roger always thought he was the wrong sound. Kenny even said in an interview for the documentary Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who that Keith Moon was always the only drummer for The Who, no one could ever replace him or come close. Recently Zack started playing and he was taught by Keith, so he's as close as they'll get.

  • Goodbye Sister Disco...

    with your flashing flash pants...

  • very cool song

  • great song just love it

  • the beat in this song is so out there and different... nobody today could manage to pull that off

  • It's interesting comparing Keith's and Kenny Jones playing on this song.

I think Kenny's playing is more powerful, more sophisticated

  • @dockaiser But keiths is more kick ass and in your face

  • @dockaiser Yeah keith is alot better than kenny, keith is a legend and i dont even know what kenny looks like, ive only watched a live video of the who without keith once, and im never going back to that again

  • Great song. Say goodbye to the old and emrace the new, keep on growing, renewing, without ever forgetting the past. Pete never fails to make both intriguing, deep, and let us not forget, rock hard songs.

    The who rock!

  • Great bluesy ending!

  • Great WHO song! Love the keyboards. I wish they would have made more use of them in their music.

  • @johnjms2

    Baba O'reily FTW!!!

  • @johnjms2 @666jealous666

Are you guys talking of synthesizers?

  • I will choose nightmares and cold stormy seas. I will take over your grief and disease.

I'll stay beside you and comfort your soul.

when you are lonely and broken, and old. . .

  • The Who rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TUNNNNNNE!!!!

  • This song is real cool. The song is better than most songs coming out nowadays.

  • @j4unumber1 try all songs comming out nowadays

  • so beautiful....This is rock, not like the crap we hear nowadays

  • such a powerful song....

  • lol 0:50 - fast 16ths on bass

  • Wow! Whole lotta memories with that tune. I have to hear it every time it snows, takes me way back to better times :}} thx for  tubing this song many many thanks :}}

  • Sister Disco is one of my favorite Who songs. Thank you so much for posting it and happy holidays!

  • mIne too...almost forgot about it....Youtube has become my outlet for real entertainment

  • you're right, folks. It's Keith Moon, 1978. Released a month before his death.

  • kenney only did this on tour during post moon period live

  • you are a fuckin dumbass this was recorded in 1977 kenney jones did not play on this album this is keiths drumming not kenneys

  • pshh like kenney jones could play 1:52 to 2:08 ...and that was keith about 7 years after his prime!

  • keith played on this album, fuckheads

  • Lets clear this up for the poor souls who dont know! It is Keith on this whole album, apart from "Music must change" which he didnt play because he couldnt get it together with the 6/8 time signature, instead it has mild percussion. You can hear its keith, any moonie fan can tell, and any drummer with hald an ear. People get confused because of the video when Kenny Jones rehearesed with the Who after Keith died and they played this song. No other drummer was used on Who Are You. Full bloody stop

  • thx 4 the help cuz ya it was a rlly big debate

  • keith drummed the whole album

  • ya keith died after the album

    great song

  • lol at baseball4life67 that's the only accurate comment i think

  • I know I bought the LP before he died.

  • Keith Moon died approximately three (3) weeks after the release of "Who Are You"

  • wonderful song...

  • It's just not THE WHO without Keith and John!!

  • But still Eminence Front is amazing!

  • OK guys-

The studio shots on the other video of this song were from pre-tour studio rehearsals. Before going on tour, bands create a set list and rehearse. With the new drummer they recorded it so they could listen back and discuss changes that were needed. Sometimes they overdubbed concerts for increased clarity (Who's Last...)

  • C'mon already...yes, this album was made before Moon passed away..but listen to the drums...i don't know whats up there....sounds like electronic drums and ??...Maybe Keith sat this one out?

  • Definately sounds like one of the most overdubbed Who pieces...not much of a connection between players...but what a great song...the best moment is Petes acoustic guitar from 3:35 till the end...just awesome

  • Blues...

  • Great song! Thank you.

  • hell ya forgot this one

  • Fuckin' awesome song by the greatest rock band ever.

  • ok i have the original vinal with this song on it i feel cool ha

  • so do i ........... yeah

  • I love this song

  • That is Keith...this is from Who are You.

  • Not a problem heh. Before watching this, I had just viewed a video of them playing this song in a studio setting, with Kenny Jones drumming! I was pretty confused at that point too lol. I'll have to ask my brother in law, he knows everything about the Who.

  • Wow listening to the album version of this for the first time. it sounds so empty. Im guessing because Keith is not playing. but when played live this song rocks

  • That's Kenny Jones? I thought they made this album before Keith Moon died and released it after.

  • Wow your absolutely right. I don't know what I was thinking. lol This is from Who Are You. for some reason I thought it was from Face Dances. thanks for correcting me man.

  • keith moon died in the makin of the album he did some of the songs but i dont think he did this one

  • i think he did the whole album, cus i think he died 2 weeks b4its release

  • maybe its just a giant debate cause not many people know 4 sure

  • The Who recorded the album between October 1977 and April 1978. It was released in August. Keith Moon died on September 7, 1978.

  • no, kenny jones did this one and others...

  • @Cloudz2789 Kenney did 2 albums Face Dances and It's Hard.

  • Oh, I thought he did WHO ARE YOU as well.

  • He didn't do this one.
